This was a very beautiful and authentic apartment in the historic center. The stairs were very steep and narrow with low overhead clearance. The first and second floors were without any outlook out the window. The roof deck on the 3rd floor (entrance door on floor zero) was without any table or chairs maybe due to not being summer yet, and two staircases removed from the kitchen. The apartment manager was online only and despite moisture issues (vent window in ceiling in bathroom condensation dripped on floor) making drying towels difficult only one set of towels was provided for 7 night stay. Also one roll of toilet paper only for a 7 night stay for two people. Room tax has to be paid separately. No welcome amenities were provided, amenities are normally provided when a owner/person is the host and not a large company. If you are looking for an authentic Pugliese of old beautiful stonework and antique furniture experience and don’t mind no outlooks, hot water that works sometimes and are good at ducking your head when entering the stairs then you will likely enjoy this apartment a lot. It really comes down to what you are looking for. For me next time, I think we will look for something outside the centro with a view of the beautiful Valle d’Itria to enjoy with our breakfast of food from the wonderful Panificio and fresh cheese shops in Cisternino.
