Nice home

The home si very comfortable and spacious. It was only my husband and I so we had the entire place to ourselves :) The furniture can be updated but is functional. Beautiful pool area. The only con I can say about this home is that you can hear all the traffic and fire fighter pass through Ronald Ragen road. Of that spend bother you then this might be a good home for you. Close to restaurants, gas stations, and more!

Careful

It wasn't listed on Vrbo that there was an extra cost of $500 to heat the pool. Very upsetting, that's the whole reason went to Florida. Pool wasn't very clean too. They did come out, but next day film was on top again.

For those seeking a basecamp for their family's Orlando area vacation, this is a good site. Do note that the garage has been converted into a multi bed bedroom. My review will focus on the (lacking) customer service. I don't think I ever dealt with VRBO....but a subcontractor named Vacasa..... When I arrived, large sections of the pool screens were torn down/damaged, and left haphazard on the pool deck. The pool had accumulated lots of airborne debris (grass clipping, etc). I notified admin, and the repair took place a couple weeks later. All fine in the long run (let's be reasonable - there had been a hurricane in the area months earlier) - however, management never informed me of this prior to my booking, and ignored any request to adjust (even slightly) my rental fee as the pool and its looks/presence was my main booking point. I was happy to keep the pool cleaned (in addition to the regular pool service until the screen was repaired) using the available net. Again - the place is spacious and the large couches and TV wonderful. It was just embarrassing for me to arrive and my family to question my ability to make a reservation with the dilapidated state of pool screen. PLEASE NOTE - there is a rating on the top with options "I love it" and "not really" - I have really mixed feelings about the value of my rental (and it's the 4th long term/multi-week rental I've booked in a year's period)

House - great location, property management was HORRIBLE.

The house was perfect for our needs. A little outdated, but good location for the parks and what we wanted to do. The only thing that threw me off between listing pics and the actual listing, is that the room with 3 beds and a bathroom is in a finished garage. It is a perfectly fine place, and the bedroom in the garage worked, but it didn’t look like that in the pics. As for the property management company- Vacasa. Horrible. There were multiple issues that occurred during our stay and the local management company was horrible about it. The corporate was easy to message and responded quickly via text and phone. We paid to have the pool heated. We were arriving 12/26. I messaged Vacasa on 12/22 to set up the pool heat. I was given a price and then called on 12/23 to make the payment. This was charged to my card that day. We arrived late 12/26 and the pool was ice cold. I messaged that night with no reply. I called first thing the next morning, and was told they would reach out to the local office because it looked like, “the pool was never turned on.” And that they would have the local office reach out and come and turn it on. We went to Universal for the day, came home to an ice cold pool. I called or text 2-3 times a day, was given the same response- we are waiting for a response from the local team. we also found that the washing machine wasn’t even on the base correctly, the dishwasher was leaking, the master toilet was leaking, and the master bedroom fan didn’t work. I was FINALLY called back from the local office MANAGER on 12/31, SATURDAY at 3pm. (We arrived 12/26 and I have been calling/texting for days) he said he would turn the pool on that evening and it would take a few hours to heat up. We arrived home that evening and the pool was, you guessed it, ice cold. I contacted him, via his cell phone that evening. We were planning on a pool day 1/1, but left early because the pool was never turned on. He told me I’d get my money back, which I have not yet. I contacted him, telling him we were leaving early because the pool was still not turned on. He told me that it WAS turned on, but was broken and so he sent a tech to fix it (that never happened) *So. The house worked for us. Great location, near a lot of stuff. Has plenty of beds and a nice looking pool. I don’t think the management company is doing their job. I feel bad for the owners and wonder if they know what a poor state they are leaving the house. Never again Vacasa.

The house was nice had a few errors that need to be improved upon arrival they was still cleaning then we was locked out the code did not work so we had problems with the door we drove a truck so all of ours belongings was on the back and we was stuck outside and it was about to rain thank God we walk to the back and the pool area was open so we put our belongings back at the pool so they wouldn't get wet finally we got in the house about 6:00 they had to come out and change the lock also there was no key in the master lock box if there was a key we could have gotten in the house even if the code didn't work the house was great had everything we needed once we got in the only problem was the beds are hard need to be updated if I could have gotten in the house and the beds was upgraded the house would be perfect loved the house and pool lots of space overall I would stay again just a few things needed to be changed

Disappointed in management

The alarm system messed up and I called 4 different numbers.. The first person I talked to told me someone would be there within the hour. No one showed up. We lost a day of traveling because we couldn’t leave the door unlocked.. Finally talked to someone that gave me the code to realtor box for the key. We left a couple of times to return and felt like someone had been in the house. We had neighbors ask us to call whoever rented to us to mow the lawn. As it was looking like it hadn’t been mowed in months. Next time I rent it will not be through this agency.. If I were the owner I’d find someone else. I have never given a bad review but when paying as much as we did things should have been better.

Good, but could have been cleaner

Upon entry we found a dead cockroach and frog, and the smoke alarm was beeping every few minutes indicating low battery. We called in the low battery issue but they showed up to fix it two days later. We ended up buying the batteries ourselves the same night we got there as we couldn’t have slept with that loud beeping. The whole place could have used a more recent clean before our arrival. It seemed no one had been there in a while. The carpets felt gross and the tiles were very dusty. Had it been cleaned a few days before we got there we wouldn’t have had these issues. We ended up cleaning the floors ourselves before we felt more comfortable in the house.

Florida Getaway

Overall house is as pictured. I would have gave a 5 star rating but there were just a few things I would have liked it had. 1- As a family of 5 I wish the property had more pots and pans I'm not saying a whole kitchen ware set but it only has 2 pans. Be aware they provide instant coffee but no sugar, no basic salt and pepper I mean lil basic things I wish they had for the kitchen. 2- As an OCD kinda person yes I wish the carpets would be a lil cleaner in the rooms, especially the garage where they converted into a room. 3- Lastly was the biggest scare I personally had! While my son and husband where taking a swim someone rang the door bell, I went to check and the person was already gone but this man abruptly came through the side of the house and just opened the side screen door and asked my son "Where are your parents " I mean what a scare he then asked us a few questions and said he was there to do some measures to the screen but literally he took 1 min max and then just left. I quickly contacted Vacasa the property manager and asked what was going on they didn't know why but said they were going to speak with the owner of the house. I just feel that we have the right to get notified before hand if anyone is scheduled to come for whatever reason because we are renting the house for our stay and comfort ability. Other than that the stay was good, kids absolutely loved the pool and everything was so at ease for checking in and out we even got an offer to check out a lil later for a small extra amount which was great! Neighborhood is really nice no inconvenience, and there's a lot of nearby establishments, especially Walmart just 13min away.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is nice, clean, and provides you with the essentials. The pictures are current so what you see is what you get. The house is spacious. I love the big screen TV in the master bedroom. This house will make you feel like you're at home. I really like how Vacasa will take care of any problems you have immediately. I recommend this house if you're looking for a nice and cozy place to stay during your vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will rent this house again.

Beautiful and private community.....

Wonderful stay at this Davenport home.. Arrived to a nicely handwritten note from the owner/or management with a personal phone number if any problems arose.. Beautiful private pool area.. (the camera on the pool area is security system camera NOT a survalance camera).. Just one little thing I didnt quite understand... the cable box for the living room was in the laundry room... making it impossible to change the channel.. easy fix for the owner... and we didnt spend much time watching tv anyways... Thinking about taking my niece and nephew to Disney in the fall... Would consider staying at this home again...

Beautiful and fun

From the moment we arrived to our vacation home, everything was perfect, nice neighborhood, clean everything, close stores, restaurants, the pool was clean and the grill was nice, me and my family will be back real soon. I give it 5 Stars!!!!

Just Okay

When we arrived we were welcomed, like many others who have reviewed, with an overflowing nasty garbage can out front with flys buzzing around it. When we entered the home there were more flies inside! There were so many it was disgusting. We ended up putting a fly trap up in the spare bathroom where they were. We guessed that the previous renter must have been keeping their garbage in that spare bathroom until the truck came. We caught about 15 and I’m not exaggerating. No one would use that bathroom until they were gone so we basically only had use of one bathroom for 1/2 of our 7 day stay. Besides this episode, the bed in the master bedroom must be 15-20 years old because it is as hard and unforgiving as a rock. We almost thought about sleeping on the couch. We did like the pool, the cable did not work so we could not watch TV in the living room, the kitchen was stocked and nice but the pans were bubbled from heat and need replacement. The home had a great location to parks, restaurants and the grocery store. (Note to new owner of this rental- please update the master bed and the notices in the kitchen to show the new garbage schedule. Also, I recommend that the cleaning crew you hire take trash with them to throw out elsewhere if there is so much that it overflows the garbage can and it cannot close. These two small updates will create a much nicer first impression for incoming renters and better reviews for yourself.)
