No air-conditioning and it was 90, and when we arrived in late afternoon all the blinds were open and a few of the windows. It wasn’t until after sundown were we able to get it to cool off. There were some crumbs on the counter and lots of cobwebs in the living room. Parking is horrible - our rental car, a Volvo XC90 for the 4 of us plus luggage, was too large for the garage parking. When I inquired about it we didn’t get much help and the signage around the property wasn’t overly clear when translating. In fact, on our last night we were towed! So the morning of checkout we were way dressed out and trying to find it was not easy and again, the host wasn’t much help at all. Actually had a neighbor down the street who helped us find the car and where it had been stored. The apartment is actually pretty nice, with mid-level beds, sofa, chairs. The outdoor seating areas were basically unusable; very dirty and cushions were not worth sitting on. Location is heavy residential but within a 10 minute walk to some restaurants and a small grocery for breakfast items. Nothing special about the area but we used it as a base camp for our daily activities for the Rhine and Heidelberg. Also, all the communications I got were in German, knowing that I’m an American. So I asked every time for the conversion - even after telling them. Makes me think they didn’t care - making this 4 rating a bit generous.

There was only one working bathroom at the time of my stay and you had to go to through the main bedroom to use it With four adult friends, This was very uncomfortable. I contacted the host and was promised a credit to my account. I never received the credit,I reached out to the host several times as well as Vrbo and the host dropped off the face of the Earth Do not rent here. This is NOT a premier host.

A one week stay

The neighborhood is not the best. Streets, homes, and area in general is rundown and dirty. The apartment is recently renovated and was in good condition. The one towel per person for a one week stay was a bit ridiculous. The shower doors do seal and required sopping up wet floor a few times (hard to do with minimal towels). The foyer always smells like trash/dirty diapers- because the trash area is attached to foyer. We did not have any true complications with our stay but it would be a repeat for us. We did not receive check-in protocol as stated (3 days prior to arrival date) and owners/ manager did not promptly reply to my inquires. Because we were traveling from abroad I escalated and reached out to VRBO for assistance. They then got in touch with owner/ manager and I did then have contact and information I was seeking.
