Its location is almost in the center of Crete, which makes it easy to visit all the sights on the island.
Kavros Beach is a 13km long, sandy beach awarded with a blue flag for its quality. In Kavros you can find all the facilities you may need, such as supermarkets, taverns, car rentals, bars, and much more. Furthermore, the longest sandy beach in Crete lies at your feet, offering endless opportunities for fun or relaxation.
Lying only 3.5 km away from the seafront of Kavros is Crete’s only freshwater lake the famous Lake Kournas, a magnificent natural lake with lush green surroundings, and which according to local legend is said to be bottomless.
