Hale Loli'i "B" - New Listing - Perfect to explore our North Shore Splendor

Bedrooms 1
Space 400 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Studio with kitchenette (NO STOVE). Great rates. Convenient. THINK EASTER!

Come join us. Winter and Spring on Kauai. Rumors are for below average temperatures and above average snow for the mainland this winter and early spring. That sounds like a good time to come and see us. Still a few choice Easter slots still available, but they will go fast.

They say, "location, location, location." And is this a great location or what? The corner of Ka Haku Road and Wyllie Road. Easy to find, easy to get in and out, and close to everything in Princeville. If you are coming to the north shore to see things, this is the place to start from.

And no matter how you spend your days, whether hiking the many trails, playing a round of golf at one of the exceptional courses, or perhaps just a day at the beach with a good book, come back to Hale Loli'i and relax.

Or perhaps you want to try out one of the many great restaurants on the island. And at this great rate, you can afford to eat out. Maybe even have dessert. You are on vacation after all, and we won't tell.

Hale Loli'i means house of relaxation. We chose this name for a reason, and we set it up to allow you to do just that. Perhaps the most important thing you will do at night is pay attention to tomorrow's weather.

What is the weather like during fall on Kauai? Daytime highs near 80, and nightime lows in the 60's. How is that for just about perfect? Who knows, you may not want to leave. But even if you have to go, you are always welcome back.

Check our discounted rate from now through the end of November if you book for a week or more. We want you to feel at home and be able to relax and enjoy this magnificent island and all it has to offer. Contact us to see how we can meet your needs.

If location is important, look no further. When you turn into Princeville, Paniolo is the first condo. Easy walking to shopping, parks, library, and a quick car ride to golf, tennis, fine restaurants, and beaches galore. The hard part will be leaving.

Perfect for a couple, or a couple of friends, with brand new queen size bed.

The spectacular beauty of Kauai's North Shore surrounds you at Hale Loli'i. Whether you walk or drive, you are just minutes from fabulous beaches, great golf, hiking, horse back riding, or whatever else your imagination can come up with. And at the end of the day, come back to a home away from home.

This second floor walk-up unit has a sleeping area separated by a room divider, a dining area, and a living room area.

You don't have to set an alarm here, as there are plenty of birds and perhaps even chickens to get you up and going. Make breakfast in the well appointed kitchenette or if you want, walk over to the Princeville Center and find coffee and pastries at several local eateries, or stock up at the full service grocery store. Then decide what is in store for the day. Hopefully you won't try and do too much though. Remember, this is vacation.

Perhaps it is a sight-seeing day. Turn left out the driveway, and you are a couple of minutes from the main highway. Take a right and go up to the end of the road. Or a left will take you back east and then south to see the rest of the island. These can be difficult decisions, but whichever way you go, you will not be disappointed. The beauty is island-wide.

If you go right, it is ten miles until the end of the road. And a total of ten single lane bridges to navigate. A word on them later. If you go all the way to the end, you will arrive at Ke'e Beach. For me at least, this is perhaps one of the most peaceful and mesmerizing places on earth. If you walk back up the beach about five hundred yards, you will have a view of the Na Pali Cliffs over the water, with mist rising from the ocean caught by the rising sun. Be careful. You may never want to leave.

And between Hale Loli'i and Ke'e Beach, you will pass through Hanalei, and go by some of the great beaches of the world. You may want to save Hanalei until later in your trip as the shops there will give you plenty of souvenir options.

Or, if you got a sunburn yesterday from a little too long at the beach, maybe you head east and south. You can stop in Kilauea and see the lighthouse, Na Aina Kai botanical Gardens, or the Guava Kai Plantation.

A half hour drive down Kuhio Highway brings you to Old Kapa'a Town. More beaches, restaurants, and shops. Check out our guide book for suggestions.

Further down the road brings Waipouli, Wailua, Lihue, and on to the south shore and Poipu Beach, west to Waimea Canyon and if you are adventurous up to Polihale State Park.

At the end of the day, you can either eat in - perhaps take something down to the poolside grill - even prepare simple meals utilizing the two burner hot plate and full size microwave oven - eat in the dining area that accommodates two comfortably. Or, if you are too tired to cook yourself, perhaps you will want to go out and enjoy any of the great restaurants nearby.

Later you can put your feet up in a comfortable recliner or stretch out on an equally comfy couch, and enjoy a wide assortment of channels on the HD television, or pick something from Netflix Maybe rent a movie and put it in the blu-ray player. High speed internet is available to check your emails, surf the web, or stream your favorite music. There are board games & cards as well - for the occasional "liquid sunshine" times. Just remember, keep the work to a minimum. That will be waiting for you when you get back.

The sleeping area, which is separated by a room divider, has a new queen size mattress. Closet and drawer space permit you to unpack. But hope you didn't bring a lot of clothing with you. Shorts and a top will get you into anywhere on the island. Hopefully you won't have to worry about laundry, but if necessary there are several commercial locations in Kapaa and Lihue.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator, two burner hot plate and microwave oven. There is also a coffee maker, teapot, toaster, and blender as well as plenty of dishes and eating utensils. Last but not least, a separate counter-top ice maker is provided for those frosty tropical libations. And we have stocked in many of the typical spices you will need to prepare your favorite vacation meals.

We’d stay here again

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, well supplied accommodations, convenient to many north shore attractions. Owner responded quickly when WiFi issues arose; they turned out to be a provider issue, and not restricted to this property. We used the kitchenette daily; check it for basics that are already provided, like coffee, tea, and sugar. Then take your grocery list to Big Save Market in Hanalei.

If you enjoy ice cream go to Pink’s Creamery in nearby Hanalei. Best ice cream on the north shore, possibly the best on Kauai.

I was able to use the snorkel gear provided, thereby avoiding the added cost of renting gear.

We also had occasion to use the umbrellas provided.

Great condo and great people

  • 5 of 5

Mike and Leslie gave us the best service. We locked ourselves out the unit and they were there in minutes. We took the pool key with us by accident and they let us mail it back to them without complaint. We didn't mean to be such pests, they responded quickly and kindly. The location and unit were great. I would stay there again without question. They provided a lot of amenities and welcoming touches to the unit. I wish I could give them and their unit 10 stars.

Owner's Response: Aloha Amber: It never fails to amaze us, but this place can have that affect on people. Whenever someone asks why we chose Kauai and what we like, I can only think, what's not to like. But things happen, even on vacation, and hopefully at the end of the day, you left here a happier person. And it is never a bother if our guests get in touch with us. Let's us know you are here and doing something. Hopefully you had a safe trip home. And if you get back to Kauai, hopefully you will consider coming to visit us again. Mahalo, Mike & Leslie

Perfect space for two in the North Shore of Kauai!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Mike and Leslie's condo. It is perfect for two people (any more than two people it would feel crowded) and had all the beach essentials including towels, bodyboards, cooler, snorkeling gear, and chairs (and even an ice maker!). The kitchenette was well set-up and had everything you'd need for small meal prep. Mike and Leslie were also very thoughtful and left Hawaiian goodies and a bottle of wine for us upon arrival. Overall, this place is a great - especially for the price, highly recommend! Thank you!!

We had an amazing stay at Mike and Leslie's condo, and wish we could've stayed longer! The unit had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. Hanalei Village is just a 5 minute drive away as well as the major Princeville resorts. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a place on the north shore. We will be back!!

About Mike & Leslie Luttig

We had been coming to paradise for over twenty years and decided that this is where we wanted to retire. We moved here from Wisconsin in 2015. And now we want to help other visitors come and enjoy this beautiful island and all it has to offer.

Our first trip to the islands was in 1989. At the time, I had just turned forty, was a bit frustrated with my career, and not necessarily looking forward to the next twenty-five years. The rest of the family had gone on a pontoon boat tour of Napali Coast and I decided to take a walk. I had never been to Ke'e Beach. It was a two plus mile walk, and during the time it took me to walk there, we had a couple of mauka showers. I was a bit damp when I arrived at the beach. And while you would never know it today, I think I was the only person on the beach. I walked about two hundred yards back down the beach and turned around, and there were the cliffs with sun shining on them through mist blown off of the ocean.

The view was perhaps the most spectacular thing I had ever seen. I sat down on the beach and just stared at the cliffs for a long time, lost in thought. It was then that I decided that I did not have to spend the rest of my life doing something that did not make me happy.

By the time we returned to the mainland, I had already decided that I was going to go back to school and go a different direction. I have never looked back.

Over the years, we have returned to the island many times, dreaming that maybe someday we would be able to spend more time here. And then by chance, we had an opportunity we could not refuse and when we retired in 2015, were able to move here permanently. This mesmerizing, life changing beautiful island is now our home.

And now, I hope that somewhere out there, someone who is in a similar place that I was in 1989, might come here and experience what I did.
