About Martin & Julia Copeman
Having refurbished our original sister Grade II Listed Thatched Cottage, Sticky End, in nearby Cottesmore & taken bookings since 1996, we have constantly had excellent feedback from guests & regular repeat bookings. Little Thatch in Seaton, near Uppingham is the perfect sister property!
Martin & Julia Copeman purchased this cottage in 2013
Why Martin & Julia Copeman chose Rutland (county)
Rutland is truly an unspoiled little gem of a county. Multum in Parvo', the motto of the County of Rutland translates from Latin as 'Much in Little'... the same is true of both Sticky End & Little Thatch. The quiet south facing garden is a real bonus, especially in the summer moths. Please be aware that by its very nature Little Thatch is a charming old cottage but the rooms (downstairs in particular) are fairly at the risk of stating the obvious, if you are looking for large open plan spaces then Little Thatch is not the cottage for you!
What makes this cottage unique
We have made both our thatched holiday cottages extensions of our own home, positioned at the high end of the holiday let market. Guests comment very positively regarding how extremely well equipped & furnished they are....'more than just a holiday home'.
