This unique and characterful property is located at the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, where visitors can join tours at their leisure and learn more about Scotland’s most southerly lighthouse, including its role in the 2018 Gerard Butler film, The Vanishing. Enjoy having a bite to eat and a cup of coffee at Gallie Craig Coffee House, less than 350 metres from the property. Of course, walks can also be enjoyed on this gorgeous stretch of coastline whilst spotting dolphins, porpoises and sea birds. There are over 50 miles of coast to explore, with Sandhead, Cairngarroch Bay and Drummore Bay Beach all within 15 miles, and there are even some hidden gems to see, such as Carrickamickie Bay (4.5 miles), which boasts crystal waters and brilliant rockpools. For those seeking cultural afternoons, Logan House Gardens (11 miles) and Logan Botanic Gardens (11.5 miles) are worth a visit.
Enter this home-from-home property and find a hallway to hang up your coats and hats. Turn right into the living room/diner and cosy up in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire with your feet up and a cup of tea in hand. Watch TV with the family before heading into the kitchen, where you will find all the equipment needed to whip up your favourite meals. The muted kitchen sports a table for two, while the lounge/diner offers a table seating for six. When you’re ready for bed, choose from three delightfully decorated bedrooms, including two twin bedrooms with ample storage and a double bedroom with a wardrobe and glorious sea views. Freshen up in the bathroom, with a bath, a walk-in shower and a WC.
Outside is a lawned garden opposite the property that overlooks Luce Bay. There’s also a picnic table available for morning coffees and evening tipples and use of the summerhouse and garden furniture in the walled garden. There is private parking for two cars next to the lighthouse.
