A little further away, Newton Abbot (3.5 miles) is a bustling market town on the edge of the River Teign Estuary, a gateway to the Dartmoor National Park (10 miles) for endless walks, hikes, and bike riding opportunities. Explore the trifecta of English Riviera towns, Torquay (4 miles), Paignton (5 miles), and Brixham (9.5 miles). Take all three in your stead with a walk along the South West Coast Path or a boat ride from one to the other. Attractions in the towns include the Shoalstone Seawater Pool (10.5 miles), Paignton Zoo (5 miles), and the Babbacombe Model Village (4 miles).
This handsome stone cottage is perfectly appointed with everything you’ll need throughout your stay. Notice the handy ground-floor WC as you make your way into the galley kitchen. This welcoming, well-equipped space invites you to rustle up a delicious dinner with some locally sourced Devonshire produce. Enjoy your meal at the dining table set by the sunny window in the lounge/diner. Afterwards, retire to the sofa, throw a log or two on the wood burner, and unwind in front of the TV. When bedtime calls, move on up to the first floor to find a king-size bedroom and adjacent en-suite bathroom.
Completing the property, discover the charming courtyard furnished with a bistro table and chairs situated directly outside. Relish in the tranquillity as you sit and sip a drink and admire the uninterrupted views of the countryside, or feast with an evening BBQ. Elsewhere on site, discover the indoor swimming pool and games room, which are shared with neighbouring properties. There is also private off-road parking for two cars.
For families, high chairs & stairgates are available on request. For infants travel cots are available to hire which include cot bedding, for £25 per cot (up to 2 cots available). For older children there are z-beds which include bedding, for £50 per z-bed (up to 2 z-beds available). Please select at checkout as this will be subject to availability.
This property can be booked together with the owner's other two properties The Tor Barn (sleeps 8) and Hamlet Cottage (sleeps 6) for larger family get togethers
