Great home away from home in Athens / Glyfada
We really enjoyed our stay in this property. Positives: - Walking distance to Mediterraneo hospital (we were there for surgery)- Close to metro station (10-15 minute walk), which gave convenient access to tourist areas in Athens. Also to airport if wanted.- Glyfada and this neighborhood feels safe. - Light / bright / airy space- Elevator to get up to the space if needed- Patio overlooks Glyfada and in the distance you can see the ocean. We enjoyed sitting out there a lot- 1.5 bathrooms - nice to have another toilet available when someone is showering- Washing machine availability. Drying rack also. - Glad the unit has air conditioning, but honestly we didn't need it. Although it was up to 28 degrees Celsius in the day, there was enough natural ventilation we felt cool. - Mostly well equipped kitchen (could have used a toaster, scissors, a strainer, a pan to use in the oven, and a few other minor items), but all the basics are thereWe thought this space was bigger based on the photos. But there was enough space for four of us. FYI - bedrooms 2 and 3 are adjoining. Other observation: - The unit is in a safe neighborhood. However, there was more noise than we are used to at home: bus / trucks rolling by until about 11 at night, car alarms going off fairly regularly, kids across the street at the daycare, etc. If we had known, we still would have chosen this place, but it is something to keep in mind.- Beds were hard. I hear this is a thing in Greece, though
