Nice log cabin with sauna near Sjusjøen/Hafjell

Welcome to Nordseter, a traditional and popular mountain area located in the heights above Lillehammer!

This area is known for its magnificent freshly groomed ski trails, and in the winter, the trail passes right outside the cabin. It takes you out into over 400 km of trails throughout the network in Lillehammer, Øyerfjellet, and Ringsaksfjellet. Alpine slopes can be found at Hafjell, about a 30-minute drive away, or at Sjusjøen, about a 15-minute drive.

If you are considering a trip to the area this summer or autumn, the cabin has a central location in relation to Hunderfossen Family Park, Lilleputthammer amusement park, Lillehammer town center, and Maihaugen.

In addition to the beautiful nature at Nordseter, you can head to Sjusjøen for shopping and entertainment. The distance to Sjusjøen is only 6 km, which takes less than 10 minutes by car. Lillehammer town center is just a 15-minute drive away and offers a wide range of restaurants, shops, and experiences. There is also a bus from Nordseter to Lillehammer town center, which runs certain parts of the year. If you want to spend an evening at a restaurant in town, you can easily take a taxi back to the cabin.

The cabin is modern and invites total relaxation and comfort when you return from the day's activities. It features a large living room with comfortable sofas and chairs, a modern slate fireplace, a dining area that seats 10 at the table, and a well-equipped large kitchen with an exclusive gas stove for advanced cooking. There is also a separate TV room with a 65-inch Smart TV.

Furthermore, the cabin has four bedrooms. On the first floor, one bedroom has a 180x200 cm double bed, and another has a family bunk bed with 150x200 cm and 90x200 cm beds. On the second floor, both bedrooms have 180x200 cm double beds.

The cabin also offer the following amenities: a pulk (sled), baby carrier, ski maintenance supplies (waxing, etc.), baby gate, coffee machine (bean), Moccamaster coffee maker, dual-zone wine cooler, and two 26-inch PC monitors with keyboards.

There are unlimited opportunities for cycling in the mountains starting from Nordseter. Miles of trails for mountain biking, including parts of the Ultrabirken route, are located just above Nordseter, as well as roads for cycling with electric bikes or regular mountain bikes, including the route for the Birkebeinerrittet, which is nearby.

We recommend a hike up to Lunkefjell, which is about 1000 meters high. Here, you will have stunning views in all directions, and take a break at Store Lunken, where it is idyllic, and thanks to the shallow water, the bathing temperatures are surprisingly good. You can also catch trout here, as in many other nearby lakes.

The nearest grocery store is Kiwi Sjusjøen, with a large selection, located about 6 km away. At Nordseter Fjellpark, there is a cozy café serving fresh Danish pastries, with ski rental and a small grocery section. Open during holidays and weekends.

Bed linen, towels, and kitchen towels are not included in the price. Bring your own or rent for 200 NOK per set. Please note: Order bed linen and towels well in advance of your arrival. The final cleaning is included in the total price, but please prepare the cabin according to the provided instructions.

When booking for Easter, the rule is that you can book from Friday to Wednesday, from Wednesday to Monday, or for the entire period.
