Stay about as close to the sea as you can get without getting your feet wet! Family Village M1 is surrounded by lush gardens. It is the ideal getaway for family and friends. The ground-floor apartment sleeps 4. Family Village is a 4-star resort with 64 units, bedrooms and apartments, built in the traditional Puglian style.

The open-plan studio is reached via a charming arched veranda, which acts as an outdoor dining room, for meals al fresco. This opens onto the seating area, with a sofa, a sofa bed and storage. Next to this is the kitchenette-dining area with a table for 4 and a tiled, fitted kitchen equipped with a cooker hob, Moka coffee maker and a fridge/freezer.

Beyond this is a double bed with further storage and a door leading out to a 2nd terrace.

The resort offers a wide range of facilities, including a shared pool, entertainment for all ages, a safe children’s play area, a supermarket, a newsagent, a restaurant and bar, a boutique, an ATM and a full-time reception to help with any queries.

Location

The resort is on the Adriatic coast between Torre dell’Orso and Otranto. It is close to some of the most stunning beaches in Salento, including Baia dei Turchi (13 minutes) and the Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea bathing rocks (10 minutes). Guests have direct access to their own sandy beach, which is blessed with crystal-clear sea.

Away from the coast, the famous Alimini lakes are a haven for bird watchers. Alimini Grande is just a 4-minute drive from the resort. Here visitors can enjoy hiking, picnicking and swimming or they can hire canoes.

The peaceful port town of Otranto (18 minutes) makes a lovely day out. Here, visitors can enjoy the castle, a lively port and excellent restaurants. The weekly market (Wednesday morning) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home. If you miss the market, there are several supermarkets in the town.

The closest airport is at Brindisi - 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car.
