The fully renovated traditional stone house of Grandpa Kimon, located in the lush anti-piracy village of "Droutsoulas," proudly carries over two centuries of history.
Situated at an altitude of 420 meters, it "looks out" towards the northern coasts of the island and is only 15 minutes from the main port of Evdilos (4 kilometers from the medical center and the island’s main road).
It lies in the very heart of Ikaria, and the stunning view from every corner of the house harmoniously combines mountain and sea.

The history of the house spans many, many years. It was fully reconstructed in 2022 and completed in 2023, now offering modern aluminum frames with double-glazed windows, a brand-new wooden-lined tiled roof, reinforced 80 cm thick walls, a new electrical installation, wardrobes, appliances, and more – all while respectfully preserving the traditional Ikarian architectural style, with the kitchen and bathroom remaining as separate, standalone spaces.

The property also retains the original features: the traditional wine press, the wood-fired oven, the little tower (pyrgaraki), the stables, and the large stone courtyard connecting all areas.

The house sits on a private estate of 1,000 square meters, featuring a spacious courtyard, a large garden, stables, and two private entrances:

the main entrance to the southwest, starting from the village square and leading to the house via a small path, and

a second entrance to the north, at the lower part of the estate, opening towards the "Toubes" area (locally known as "chaous").
The incredible view from there is one of the property’s greatest privileges and something that truly makes it unique.
