Wonderful, cosy, family home.

Loved this vacation property. It is comfortable and welcoming,. Great place for a family get together! Enjoyed making smores over the fire pit, playing corn hole and relaxing.

We really enjoyed our stay at On The Rocks. The home was perfect for our group and had everything we needed. The location was ideal, close to Lake Lure and only 8 minutes away from the relatives that we were visiting.

Awesome Getaway!

We have a yearly family vacation, and this time we stayed at Mr. Chuck's property. It was wonderful! The home was clean and well stocked. Even the beds were comfortable. My 2 year old love the property, and running around outside. Thank you Mr. Chuck for a wonderful experience.

Weekend Sibling reunion

My family of 4 traveled to the area to meet up with my sisters (one from Atlanta and one from Raleigh). There was plenty of space and the house setup is really really good for common spaces inside and outside while also having good separation for bedrooms when my kiddos went to bed. House could comfortably accommodate more than the 6 of us.

Chuck and Dawn truly has a gem for a home! We felt welcomed the moment we walked in and saw our name on the welcome board! On Saturday we explored the town until the rain sent us home. Sunday it rained the whole day but we were never bored, games, puzzles and WII kept everyone busy, from the 2 year old to the oldest of 45! Thanks Chuck and Dawn, we will visit again!

Lake Lure getaway

The cabin was just as described. Lots of cute personalized, welcoming touches. More than enough room for our family and the house was stocked with everything required. Ingles is a short drive away and probably one of the best supermarkets I have been in. They have everything! The town was quiet and everyone was so kind. The cabin was conveniently located to Chimney Rock where we planned to go hiking. I would definitely love to visit again in the warmer months and take advantage of the water activities. The owner was very responsive and gave us all the information needed. It's a beautiful, quiet property off the beaten path and we would definitely stay again.

Great Stay!

My family and I (5 adults, 1 teen, and 2 dogs) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at On the Rocks. The house was very comfortable with lots of seating. The screened porch and deck also had plenty of seating and were great spaces for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening. We visited during a heat wave and the home's AC worked exceptionally well. The owners of this property thought of everything - down to the umbrella hanging next to the front door. They are quick to respond to any questions you may have. I've stayed at several different properties over the years and by far this property was our favorite. It was clean, quiet, private, and an easy ride to the grocery store and Chimney Rock State Park. We would definitely stay at this home again. Thank you for the great experience Chuck and Dawn!

The best yet!

This tops any rental we've had for the past 11 years for our sibling trip. We were delighted with the personal welcoming touches awaiting us upon our arrival. The home is very clean, well organized with everything needed to feel right at home. We would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to feel at home away from home.

Fall Break

Our visit to On The Rocks was a time to gather with our college aged daughters and their two friends for Fall Break. The house was super clean and just the right space for games, grilling and laughter! We played a little miniature golf and made our way to the Chimney Rock State Park as well. It was the perfect getaway!

We loved our stay. It was quiet, peaceful and the home was exactly as described. We felt welcome and cozy. Our only downfall was that we couldn't stay longer. Screened back porch was an added plus. We would certainly stay here again!

Relaxing and cozy

Check in was easy and communication was clear. The host did a wonderful job in all communication and really set the guest up for success 🙌. The home was family friendly, having some good old movies, games, and a sweet fireplace area. Felt like home. We would be willing to stay here again.

Simply relaxing

This home was very large with lots of seating. Our master bedroom with bath was quite large. The screened in porch was a lovely way to enjoy my morning coffee with a view. You are a bit away from things so just count on a little drive around windy beautiful roads. The fact of the matter u6s , in this part of NC you are a bit aways wherever you are. We took a trip to Chimney Rock and the Flowering Bridge. It took a bit over a half hour. This home was wonderful and even better than the pictures show. I would definitely stay again.

Great family or friend getaway!!!

This was a wonderful experience! Even better than expected! Cosy, spacious, comfortable home! Loved the away from it all setting! We enjoyed the fire pit, corn hole and general surroundings! The owners thought of everything to make our stay so great! The house was decorated for Christmas and had games, and was well stocked with everything you might need! No doubt we will stay here again and tell our friends about it!

Thanksgiving at On The Rocks

Fun time with family for Thanksgiving. Very clean. Plenty of room. Well equipped with everything you need. Equipped to handle Thanksgiving dinner. Cozy and quiet. Close to all attractions. Great stay! Recommend highly!
