About Denise Glenn

Larry & Gay Glenn (my wonderful In laws) had always wanted a little place by a mountain stream. They just happen to come across 13 acres on the mountain just at the base of Mount Pisgah with two small cottages. They had to get it! (purchased in 2000) They enjoyed the sounds of the stream, the birds, and just the beauty all around Them. That is when they decided to build a Log Cabin on above their cottage for others to enjoy as well. So, contact Me, Denise Glenn and I hope you'll come stay and see for yourself what Dad & Mother love so much about this place!!

What makes this cabin unique

Listening to the mountain stream, seeing the mountain laurel in full bloom as well as other wildflowers, hearing the woodpeckers and other birds that fill the trees surrounding us. Walking around the property..... visiting Larry's small trout pond (sorry not for fishing). Just relaxing in the rocking chair on the front porch and mostly enjoy family and friendship!

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Pine Ridge was just perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed roaming the hillside and feeding the fish. We all enjoyed the fireplace but most of all just unplugging from technology and having time together.

Enjoy rustic wooded living

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed this cabin in the woods. The mountain location was within 30 min of Asheville attractions. Hiking and eating in some truly rememberable locations. We found the cabin as it was described. My comments for improvements are replace the damaged recliner, better towels, supply 2 ply toilet paper and some garbage bags. Overall I would recommend and would stay again.

Rustic Charm!

  • 4 of 5

If you're looking for a truly off the grid feel, look no further! You literally drive through a tiny creek, and up a few small inclines to reach your final destination. The cabin backs up to woods as far as you can see. A cozy fire pit and porch, and 3 spacious bedrooms plus loft greet you. True campers will enjoy making a fire in the fireplace but also relaxing with some wifi at the end of the night. The cabin could use some updates regarding window A/C unit cleanliness, some wall outlets and lamps could use fixing. Cosmetically it's rustic but full of charm! The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating.

Great time in the mountains with room for improvement

  • 3 of 5

The Glenn Acres Cabin was a great location for our Thanksgiving family getaway. The cabin is quietly nestled on top of the mountain in the woods. We could hear the waterfall at night. We loved having smores at the fire pit. The place is stocked with essentials. The morning walks were spectacular. The owners came by with a friendly hello and fresh biscuits! The management POC was highly responsive. There's even a booklet with activities and other guidance.

Things to be aware.... I am highly sensitive to dust so I had a bronchitis/asthma flare that dampened by trip. I'm getting over it a week later. It seemed as though, there hadn't been anyone in the cabin for awhile so there was a layer of dust on the high ceiling upstairs and in the corners of the other bedrooms. I was happy I brought my inhaler and allergy meds. So, if you have dust allergies, that would be an area of concern and hopefully improvement for management. Everyone else was fine.

Overall, we had a great Thanksgiving getaway because the memories we created. It could've been perfect with some clean up.
