Main Description Hillside is a charming cottage featuring a spacious open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area, complete with a large wood burner - ideal for cosy evenings or entertaining guests. It has two comfortable bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, along with a well-appointed bathroom that includes both a bath and a separate shower. Step outside to a private, enclosed garden with a patio and seating - perfect for breakfast in the sun, summer BBQs, or a relaxing drink as you soak in the tranquillity. A shared laundry room is available on-site. The cottage is set entirely on one level, making it a great option for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Nestled against the Brendon and Quantock Hills and surrounded by nature, it offers a fantastic base for walking, sightseeing, and unwinding in peaceful surroundings.

Hillside is located on a small holding of 6 acres, including a pond. There are two other holiday cottages on the same site that sleep up to 2 or 4 guests, and the owners live in the main house nearby. Guests are welcome to share the wider gardens and use the paddock for dogs - if it is not occupied by sheep at the time. Please note children must be supervised around the nearby pond.
Indoor Description Hillside kitchen has an electric oven and hob, full size fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave and nespresso coffee machine. Other equipment includes a toaster, kettle and a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A 50" Smart television is provided in the living room with a cosy log fire.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, surface cleaner, dishwasher tablets and hand wash throughout will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.
There's a shared utility room with a washing machine, which is shared with the two other holiday properties. Airers are available for drying.
Outdoor Description Hillside has a private, enclosed gravelled patio are patio directly outside the front door, with outside furniture for dining outside when the weather or mood takes you. Guests can also request a BBQ from the owners onsite.
There are two other properties on the farm - The Linhay and South Barn, sleeping a further 2 and 4 guests, they share access to the wider grounds of the farm, pond and 3.5 acre paddock which can be enjoyed by guests and their dogs (if the sheep are not in it).
Parking Off-road parking for one car is available in the guest car park. It may be possible to accommodate a second vehicle if required.
Pets Description 2 well-behaved dogs (or 3 medium/small dogs) welcome for an additional £20 each. Dog washing area for muddy paws and extra dog towels available on request. Please note, there may be sheep grazing on the farm, you will be expected to keep your dog under your control particularly around livestock. Please do not leave your dog on its own in the cottage. Please don't let your dogs lie on the furniture. You must pick up after your dog anywhere on the premises.
Restricted mobility This property is all on one level, so may be suitable for someone with restricted mobility.
Exit in case of emergency In case of emergency, please leave the property via the front door if possible. Please leave key in door, or just use dead lock to allow for quick access.
If unable to leave via front door, please use bathroom window to garden or master bedroom window.
Christmas / New Year The cottage is tastefully decorated for Christmas, including a tree. Decorations will be in place from the first weekend in December.

Wiveliscombe -- known locally as 'Wivey' -- is a friendly market town on the southern edge of the Exmoor hills, set among rolling Somerset countryside between the Brendon Hills and the Quantock Hills.
The town has a long and proud history as a centre for agriculture and brewing. Its handsome Georgian and Victorian buildings line The Square and Silver Street, and there is a strong community spirit with a weekly market, independent shops, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it an excellent base for a quieter Exmoor holiday.

Taunton, approximately 10 miles to the south-east, is the county town of Somerset and the nearest large shopping centre. It has Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, Asda, and Lidl supermarkets, a wide range of high street shops, and the Orchard Shopping Centre. Taunton also has a cinema, a museum, a theatre, and a mainline railway station with direct services to London Paddington.
For Exmoor-specific shops and visitor centres, Dulverton is approximately 12 miles to the north-west and has the Exmoor National Park Visitor Centre, several independent shops, a butcher, and a chemist.
