Two West End, a third-floor apartment, consists of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, wine chiller, washer/dryer, fridge with icebox, and kettle, a dining room with dining seating, and a sitting room with a Smart TV. The bedroom is king-size. There is a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a balcony. Free Street Parking for one hour and overnight, subject to availability. Free parking on Glebe Road from November to Easter. The nearest public car park is Rayrigg Road, £9 a day or a 3-day pass £21 that allows parking in other Westmorland Council car parks, including Bowness (5 sites), Windermere (2), Ambleside (4), and Kendal (7). Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake.
