There is also a bathroom, kitchen with breakfast bar and living/dining room with woodburning stove. To the exterior is off-road parking for 4 cars and an enclosed lawned garden to rear with patio and furniture. Farm View House offers a memorable stay for families and friends, in the heart of Leicestershire. Note: No Stag or Hen parties or similar.

For those who enjoy walking and getting out in the countryside, Burrough Hill Country Park is close by with historic features and superb views. As well as the grassy hilltop, there are diverse wildlife habitats and varied areas to visit within the park. The area was famous for foxhunting and as a reputed birthplace of Stilton cheese. The next town to the east is Oakham, with Oakham Castle, Rutland County Museum and many shops, pubs and restaurants. Rutland Water Nature Reserve provides one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in Great Britain, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. From birdwatching and fishing to walking and cycling, Rutland Water Park has it all! The Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre is open the year-round and Bugtopia is a small interactive zoo showcasing over 75 species of invertebrates and reptiles, as well as a gift shop - plenty of fun for the whole family! Melton Mowbray is well known for its pies, and offers a host of cafes, butchers’, as well as more shops and pubs.
