Howdy Barn in Great Strickland, Cumbria sleeps five people in three bedrooms.
Howdy Barn is a cottage consisting of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, and cafetière, a utility room is available on-site, a dining area seating five guests, and a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor double, mezzanine-floor double, and ground-floor single service by a shower room. WiFi, fuel, and power are included in the rent. Outside, there is a non-enclosed garden with a lawn, barbecue, hot tub, and off-road parking for one car. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Sorry, no smoking. All of this and so much more with a stay at the welcoming Howdy Barn.Note: Beds have duvets and pillows, but linen and towels are an additional £30 charge which will be paid to the owner directly. Note: Hot tub outside is £50 for the first night, £35 for consecutive nights which will be paid to the owner directly. Note: Please turn it down to 30 degrees when not in use. Note: A starter pack is included; extra packs are £10 each. Note: Animals on site include cats, dogs, chickens, sheep, and horses—please consider this if you have allergies

The village offers a pub, which serves good food and the nearby market town of Penrith has a good selection of shops and restaurants, a cinema and swimming baths. The Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre is only 2 miles away and well worth a visit, or why not cruise on one of Ullswater's motor yachts, which leave hourly from Pooley Bridge, only 5 miles away? The Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith is the “largest grass covered building in the country” or you might like to visit Dalemain Historic House featured in a television production of Jane Eyre. For those who love the outdoors, the well known "Coast to Coast" walk runs close to Great Strickland and walks abound in the nearby National Park.
