Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Apartment 2, Lewes Road per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
Lewes Road is in Newhaven, East Sussex. Known for its swing bridge and vast number of local eateries, Newhaven is an ideal location for its proximity to both the local coastal areas as well as the scenic countryside.

Located just a short walk from Lewes Road is Newhaven Fort. This well preserved Victorian Coastal Defence gives visitors a look into the history of the fort, along with providing fantastic views of the immediate coastline - making it an ideal location to visit with friends and family of all ages.

South Downs National Park is also very close to Newhaven, offering endless outdoor activities including walking trails, cycling and wildlife watching

Walking routes are also easily accessible from the property and surrounding area, with many walks allowing visitors to see for miles over the rolling hills and neighbouring valleys.

Newhaven Beach is a short 5-minute drive from Lewes Road, or a 30-minute walk should the weather permit. The pebbled beach is quiet in comparison to other local beaches, making it ideal for a coastal or a picnic.

The immediate area of Newhaven has a variety of shops, including local retail shops to larger stores and supermarkets.

Getting Around:
Newhaven has excellent public transport throughout the town centre and into the surrounding areas.

There are over 50 bus stops located in Newhaven, covering a total of 14 bus routes. Whilst some buses are based in Newhaven and the town circle, other routes will take you further afield to places such as Eastbourne Pier, Paradise Park, Chyngton Gardens and Brighton Station.

‘Newhaven Town’ is the train station located in the centre of Newhaven. It is a short 15/20-minute walk from Lewes Road and only 3 minutes by car. The station provides rail links to destinations including Brighton and London.
