Why Wade Jorgensen chose Montrose / Verdugo City
Large living room, eat-in kitchen, and workspace. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and blackout shades, and the second bedroom has bunk beds plus a pull-out sofa bed and blackout shades. There's a bathroom with a bathtub between the two bedrooms. The set-up is perfect for a family with young children and also works well for couples traveling alone or with friends and/or pets. The house is a great option for family members visiting local relatives, but wanting their own space. Parents visiting students at Glendale Community College, Occidental College, ArtCenter, and Pasadena Community College should also consider the rental.
What makes this House unique
Newly landscaped with a grassy, fenced yard, mature trees, and mountain views. Walk out the front gate, just a block to the charming shopping park for breakfast (Rest, Etc Gourmet, the Black Cow), craft beer (Elbow Room), fine wines (The Wine Cave), cocktails (Basin 141), ice cream (Paradis), coffee (Starbucks, Coffee Bean), lunch (Gio's, Cest la Vie), groceries (Trader Joe's), dinner (Casa Cordoba, John Sparr Tavern, Town, Joselito's, Zeke's BBQ). Hike in the surrounding Verdugo Mountains and Deukmejian Wilderness Park. Walk to local annual events, including the Montrose Christmas Parade and OktoberFest, that draw thousands of visitors from across Southern California.

Charming home in lovely neighborhood
We so enjoyed our stay here, which offered all the comforts of "home", including a nice yard in a lovely little neighborhood. Very close to the "main street" of Montrose, with great restaurants and boutique shopping all withing walking distance. The home was quite comfortable, with nice amenities, charming decor and excellent communication with the owners. We highly recommend this property.
Beautiful little bungalow!
What a wonderful place to stay! Near shopping and dining in a lovely neighborhood! My extended family all asked about the property and I gladly recommended it.
It was very comfortable and clean! It is within walking distance of some excellent restaurants. Our favorite was Town Kitchen and Grill!
This house is great, when we walked in the fans in the living and one bedroom were going and it felt wonderful in there. It is a clean and well kept place. It is nicer and bigger than the photos show. We needed a kitchen as my son was in school during our stay...it was easy to use everything, and bonus it has a full size refrigerator...which was hard to find in the area. My son was excited to see the bunk beds in "his" room, and to sleep in them. There were books and toys in his room; very thoughtful. The host, Wade is very attentive and wants you to have a wonderful stay, quick to reply to you if need be. I believe this place is well worth the price for it's size & quality. I would highly recommend.
Large, immaculate place, very comfy, responsive landlord
We loved this place. It was clean, spacious, extremely comfortable and full of amenities. the place had plenty of space for us to spread out with our two little dogs. Big comfortable couch in the living room with a widescreen TV and overhead fan. Comfortable king bed in bedroom. Big kitchen with eat-in breakfast nook and full appliances. Central air, which saved our lives during the L.A. heat wave. Nice big fenced front yard. Quiet, leafy neighborhood close to charming downtown Montrose and nearby Glendale and Pasadena, which were only about 15 minutes away. And landlord Wade Jorgensen was very responsive, checked in with us a couple of times and seemed genuinely concerned that we were having a nice stay. We had no problems: Appliances all worked as advertised, which is no small thing. Big fridge for all our stuff. This house was one of the best we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot of HomeAway, VRBO and Airbnb places. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Super cute house
We loved it! Super cute house! Everything was super clean & the owner was very attentive to anything that we needed during our stay. Highly recommend staying here if in the area.
Felt like a home away from home
