Fortino House is a charming retreat in the beautiful town of Otranto, on the Adriatic Coast. Spread over two floors, connected by a spiral staircase, it can accommodate up to 8 people. The fenced terrace means that privacy is guaranteed. Just a 10-minute stroll from the beach and 5 minutes from the town’s historic heart, it is the ideal location for friends or family of all ages.

The front door opens into a spacious living/dining room which is furnished with elegant wooden furniture, including 2 sofas, extensive storage and a dining table for 6 people. There is a large, new kitchen which is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, Moka coffee maker and a fridge/freezer.

The private garden is terraced and ideal for relaxing in the sun. There are several chairs for guests’ use, as a shaded dining area for fun meals al fresco.

Bedroom 1: This elegant bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe, a door leading onto the terrace and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: A cosy bedroom with 2 single beds and a wardrobe.
Extra: The two sofas in the living room convert into two comfortable double beds.

Bathroom 1: En suite to the master bedroom, this bathroom has a full bathtub, basin, bidet and WC
Bathrooms 2 & 3: These two well-appointed bathrooms both have a shower, basin, bidet and WC.
Extra: There is an outdoor shower in the courtyard, ideal after a day on the beach.

Location
Whether guests want to explore Puglia’s ancient past or relax in the sun, the property is extremely well-located in central Otranto. This ancient port is known for its castle, excellent restaurants and lively marina.

The apartment is close to some of Salento’s most beautiful beaches, including Mulino d’Acqua beach (7 minutes), Baia dei Turchi (11 minutes) and the Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea bathing rocks (20 minutes).

Away from the coast visitors can enjoy the Alimini Lakes which are a haven for bird watchers. Alimini Grande is just a 15-minute drive. Here visitors can enjoy hiking, picnicking and swimming or they can hire canoes.

For self-catering, the weekly market (Wednesday morning) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home. If you miss the market there are several supermarkets in the town.

The closest airport is at Brindisi - 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car.
