his is a factual impassionate review of my 7 day break.
All contact with the owner was via email & text, including check-in instructions, which were just sufficient to gain access.
The apt is in an industrial area with a high number of dilapidated buildings, general stores are sparce, tourist shopping is non-existant. This is not a tourist area, less than 5 decent bars/resturaunts with a 20 min walk, which were not open every night. Flies & cochroaches were a major issue as was rubbish on the streets & dog fouling.
On arrival it was clear we DID NOT have the promised view, infact the apartment was in a back street & the view from every window was of a high municiple building that overlooked everything. This made the Juliette balcony & roof unusable during the day. Furthermoore, we had to keep all the window shutters closed to keep out prying eyes from the office workers.
The neighbours on both sides caused problems. One neighbour kept parrots that squawked continuously from first light until dark. The other kept pigeons in 2 large aviaries, which only added to the pigeon problem in the area.
Pigeons nested on available ledges, dead pigeons in the street, on the roof. The pigeon guano was a major problem, covering footpath's & the property entrance.
Inside the apt was good, Kitchen & bathroom well set out, bedroom was good, big TV which would have benefitted from user instruction. Only 2 towels per person were provided, no change of bedding, air-con was v-good.
