Acerca de su propietario/a
Propietario/a: LIZ DOWN
For over 30 years, Nick and Liz have lovingly nurtured Little Callestock Farm into the warm, welcoming haven it is today. Nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, just moments from the A30, our 200-acre working dairy farm offers a peaceful retreat full of charm, comfort, and countryside adventure.
It's a true family affair and together with their son Ben and his wife Jess, Nick and Liz run both the farm and the seven beautifully converted holiday cottages, each filled with character and thoughtful touches. When you arrive via the pretty, tree-lined lanes, you’ll be greeted not only by the tranquil surroundings but also by the genuine warmth of a family who love to share their way of life.
You’ll often find Liz in the courtyard, always ready for a friendly chat and full of recommendations for Cornwall’s best-kept secrets. Renowned for her home baking, her Aga-baked scones have become a guest favourite – warm, fluffy, and served with a generous helping of Cornish clotted cream and delicious Boddingtons Strawberry Conserve.
Our seven cosy, self-catering holiday cottages are lovingly restored and set amidst peaceful countryside, offering the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Each cottage features a welcome tray including our creamy farm-fresh milk and locally made clotted cream from Roddas – just 7 miles down the road.
We’re proud of our stunning herd of Jersey cows, who graze the lush meadows surrounding the estate. As a working dairy farm, we welcome our guests to experience the rhythm of farm life. From guided farm tours with Liz to spending time in the milking parlour with Nick and Ben, there's so much to see and do. You can even try your hand at milking a cow or bottle-feeding a calf during calving season, which begins in March. Take a leisurely stroll along our scenic footpath to the lake—an idyllic, secluded spot teeming with wildlife. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a picnic and soak in the sights and sounds of nature.
