Situado en un lugar verdaderamente increíble en el noreste de la isla de Lismore. Situado al lado del mar Strathlorn tiene impresionantes vistas del Norte a Ben Nevis, en todo el Sur de Lynn Lorn hacia Oban y Oriental a través del agua a pintoresco Port Appin.
Strathlorn fue ampliado y renovado en 2012 para ofrecer un alojamiento de más alto nivel. Tiene una sala y comedor impresionante habitación con ventanales que dan a una zona cubierta cerrada con vistas al mar, 3 dormitorios, 3 baños y una cocina moderna totalmente equipada.

This property is amazing. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and most of all the views are amazing.There is access straight onto the beach, and the foot ferry is a 10 minute walk.Lismore is a very special island, a must visit. I highly recommend!

The house has everything and more, clean and extremely comfortable. Lighting the fire on a grey morning was perfect as was sitting out on the deck with your morning coffee watching the ferries go about their daily business. Our hosts were so attentive, providing excellent communication from booking to checking out. It was the most wonderful stay.

Overall house well equipped, clean , comfy sometimes felt too warm.Hot water seemed to run out to quickly on one occasion. Lovely views with changing weather.

Fantastic place to stay on Lismore, right by the water, with direct access to the beach. Loved the ever changing views from all around the property through the large ceiling to floor windows. The kitchen was very well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and utensils, and easy to use appliances.The 3 bedrooms were spacious and airy, two with ensuite, shower rooms, and a separate full bathroom, and all of the showers were great. I even had a view of the sea from the shower! The weather wasn't good enough for us to make full use of the decking and outdoor seating while we were there, but it is a lovely outdoor space, with those views! We watched the Port Appin ferry come and go, and spotted quite a few different birds, and a seal, from the open plan lounge and dining area.Something to be aware of is the very steep driveway down to the property. Also be aware that there is only one small community shop on Lismore, and one place to eat, at the Heritage Centre cafe, which is only open 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. We planned ahead and had an order made up for us by the community owned store, and we booked a table at the Pierhouse Hotel across the water, which is easy to get to via the Port Appin passenger ferry. The Heritage centre cafe does take outs and is open Friday evenings until 8.00 p.m.We have stayed in many holiday cottages all over Scotland and Strathlorn is definitely up there being one of the best places we've stayed in.

Beautiful place to stay!

Strathlorn was everything we hoped for and more! Beautifully furnished and with everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The location is amazing with absolutely stunning views….we just loved it!

A fabulous place to stay in an absolutely idyllic location. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the outdoor decking area is fantastic. A short walk to the ferry takes you across to Port Appin. Would love to stay again in the future.

Very relaxing holiday in a lovely place. The kitchen was very well equipped, including scales and baking dishes. My Mum particularly appreciated the walk in shower. Everyone enjoyed the sea view and the beautiful weather (not guaranteed obviously, but we were lucky!).

Five star accommodation in five star location

Outstanding property in a stunning location. Strathlorn is the best equipped holiday home we’ve visited, spotless clean and extremely comfortable. Perfect for walking and easy stroll to the Port Appin ferry. The views were breathtaking- cannot praise this wonderful property highly enough and look forward to a return visit

Lovely house in an incredible location

The house is in an amazing location, right on the water. The view is breathtaking and there is almost no noise apart from the sea and the birds.The islanders are very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful house!

Fantastic property well appointed nearest we'll get to living in a grand designs house. Beautiful location with fantastic panoramic views and some great coastal or inland walks across the island.peaceful and special place .highly recommended

Strathlorn

Lovely house , which was well equipped , with fantastic wraparound balcony where you could take in the stunning views and watch the family paddle boarding . Cycle hire at the nearby walk on ferry and lovely walks.. Cafe at the visitor centre has lovely food and Lismore is worth a visit . We will certainly visit Strathlorn again.

Fantastic trip to Lismore.

We had a wonderful trip to Lismore made all the more special by the wonderful house. What a view! Enjoyed a couple of day trips to Oban on the car ferry to sightsee on the mainland but also enjoyed using the foot ferry for meals at the Pier House at Port Appin. Absolutely stunning location and we will definitely return.

Excellent Tranquil Accommodation

The accommodation was to a high standard and very comfortable with stunning views. Lismore is a wonderful, tranquil island, rich in wildlife and beautiful scenery. Otters and seals spotted daily from the accommodation. Mother otter and pup seen at Point and Port Ramsay during the day. Loved watching the nesting birds and geese with small goslings. Hope to be back.

Hard to beat this for position and facilities. Ideal for my wife who has restricted mobility and could enjoy the panoramic view of the surroundings. For some people Lismore may be restricted but the quietness and walking are ideal for me and my daughters.For once a cottage with pictures we could enjoy rather than those that seem to come from a 50p job lot at an auction! When I first saw those of Collioure the image rang a bell in my mind. I remembered that some years ago we stayed in Port Vendres and visited Collioure and of course have a picture of the tower and one of the unique fishing boats. Not so sure about the Mackintosh picture of Port Vendres. He of course was interested in the architecture but misses the real vibrancy of the place,(The tyre problem was simply because they assumed the breakdown cover would not include Lismore. However when they were persuaded to try found the company could not have been more helpful and it was all sorted on the Monday.)Thank youPaul Oates

It was wonderful to return to the beautiful island of Lismore with our our grown-up children after 15 years. Although there are more visits to the island, you never feel you’re using share the place as it is so peaceful.The house has a sterling location looking out over the bay towards Appin. There has been so much attention to detail in the property that it lacked nothing. For those who struggle with a firmer mattress, I would observe that the beds are on the firm side.

Beautiful property and location

Very high spec property with everything you could possibly need and more ! Enclosed garden and direct access to beach. Lismore is a beautiful island but some areas best explored on foot or bicycle as parking limited.Dogs must be kept on leads due to Sherpa and ground nesting birds. Lots of walks, wonderful cafe and heritage centre and the fun of the foot ferry over to port appin. If you like sea gazing and swimming and walking you will never be bored here.

Perfect in every way!

Strathlorne is a magical place to stay. The views are spectacular; boats, weather and wildlife ensure that something is happening all the time. We were 'glued' to the huge picture windows with binoculars at the ready! The house itself is unlike any holiday home we've been in, it truly feels like a home from home. Everything is tastefully done and we're already planning our next trip!! Thank you so much.

Beautiful property in a stunning location

We absolutely loved our stay at Strathlorn. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and warm, and the views are amazing. It's wonderful to be so close to the water. Lismore is a lovely little island, the locals are so friendly and the Pierhouse bar and restaurant in Port Appin is superb - it's just a 10 minute stroll to the ferry from the house and a short hop across the water and you're delivered right in front of it. The owners of Strathlorn are friendly and helpful too, great communication and told us everything we needed. We hope to be back as soon as possible!
