Located on Swinside Fell, Lorton View gets its name from the breathtaking views that await guests from both inside the property and from the patio area. Nestled into the hillside there is walking straight from the door over the much quieter western fells where the panoramic views give you vistas across the Lake District and Solway Coast to Scotland beyond. The market towns of Cockermouth and Keswick are both easily reached with shops, bars, restaurants and visitor attractions. The self contained room in the owners home is 1 mile from the village of Lorton, up a winding lane. Lorton View has its own private patio area, with stunning fell views, a BBQ and seating for alfresco dining, followed by a relaxing evening with a bottle of wine whilst watching the sun set over the mountains.

Lorton View is accessed through its own private entrance into the small kitchenette area before stepping into the open plan lounge/bedroom, kept warm and toasty with electric heating throughout. The comfy super king size oak sleigh bed offers a refreshing night’s sleep and calls out for lazy mornings watching the Smart TV or just admiring the incredible view. There are 2 comfy armchairs and access to the patio with garden furniture and views over the countryside to the fells beyond. The kitchenette is equipped to rustle up a quick dinner, to be enjoyed at the dining table, with a plug in single ring induction hob and microwave (guests can use the big kitchen and oven in the main house by arrangement. Freshen up in the shower room before or after your days adventure on the fells.

All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Private parking for 1 car. Patio area with table and chairs, BBQ, fire pit and breathtaking views across the fields to the fells beyond.
