Casa Palou has the most beautiful location, right at the start of the mountains, so you have a beautiful view of the valley in one direction, and in the other direction the Pyrenees rise, with the property's olive trees and vineyards as a beautiful "capet" in front.

The house is ideal for both relaxation and activities. For the children, the huge garden with swimming pool and many other things is a hit, just as you can feed the property's cute donkeys, as their paddock is adjacent to the garden. By the curly road, you find just 1.2 km. from the house the nice small village where there is a restaurant and a small supermarket and a few other shops. There are plenty of additional shopping opportunities in La Jonquera, 6 km. away.

The sweet owners Esther and Marc also live on the property, but have their own terrace and garden to another side, so all facilities are 100% for your private use. They give you complete privacy, but will of course be happy to help if you have questions or need tips for restaurants, hikes or anything else in the local area.

Casa Palou has a large living room, decorated with rustic antiques perfectly matching the rustic farmhouse. In the large open space is also a long dining table. The kitchen is a traditional Spanish country kitchen, which has preserved the tradition-bound features. Here the owners have preserved the kitchen fireplace and its long bench, where the family previously prepared the day's dinner. The kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities such as dishwasher, microwave, cooker and fridge / freezer. In the kitchen is also a small dining table.

The house has four very spacious bedrooms, all beautifully decorated. Here are two rooms with double beds and two rooms with twin beds and there is also the opportunity to get a cot set up. The house has three bathrooms and all together there is 215m2.

The location is really good! You are in an authentic Catalan environment but have just 35 km. to the many beaches on the Costa Brava coast. The village is 0.5 km. from the house and here's supermarket, restaurant and public transportation. There is also a public tennis court if you feel like playing a tennis match. The area is filled with really good opportunities for activities such as water sports, horseback riding or a day trip to Barcelona (158 km.) and Catalonia´s second largest city – Girona - is 50 km. from the house. A must see is Museo Teatro Dalí (a museum which both children and adults will love), located 15 km. away . The well-known town Cadaques is30 km. from Casa Palou. Should you feel like playing golf, the region is known for its many excellent courses and the nearest golf course is Peralada, located 15 min. from the house.



Casa Palou is an excellent choice of a holiday home inCatalonia, for those who want to get "close" the Catalan wine-olive farmer and want to be near a village, stay in an authentic environment but with a wide range of excellent activities within a relatively short drive.



Furthermore, the location provides only 7 km. from the French border, the opportunity to have a wonderful French food experience as a supplement to the Catalans' tapas and paella, and there are also several pleasant coastal towns on the French side, as well as the beautiful capital Perpignan.
