About Brian & Sherry Ashworth Owner

We are Husband and Wife and 2 teenage children that built this home ourselves with the help of our brothers. There is a lot of love and time spent making this house a home, and we are thrilled to share it with the many people, including family and friends, that have already stayed here. We know once you visit, you are sure to return.

Why Brian & Sherry Ashworth Owner chose Hayesville

We chose the area because of its charm and year round activities. There is not another property on the river that has such a wonderful view and the convenience of still being within 5 miles of town. The sounds of the rushing river make relaxation instantaneous. There is not a moment that we ever regret visiting the area and cannot wait to one day live here year round.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy our home here on the river because of its charm and the fact that every season holds some special memories that were made in this home. From the first Christmas we stayed and filled the home with our special holiday decorations to the first Thanksgiving turkey we cooked, our most memorable times were spent in front of the log fireplace inside and our firepit nestled between our river cabin and our friends' river cabin. Spending time with our family and friends at this cabin is always our greatest joy. Reconnecting with our out-of-town family and making more memories with our family and friends have made this home just that; a home filled with a lot of love and memories that we will cherish forever.

Great property right on the river. Beautiful inside and out.

Very nice setting on river house decorated with mountain cabin decor. Very clean and updated furnishings. River not suited for fly fishing since it’s below dam release. Above dam is good at DH area. Also only 35 minutes from upper Nantahala river for fly fishing.

Beautiful home!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We loved everything about it. Very easy to get to. It has all the comforts of home. My husband enjoyed being able to fish in the river behind the house. The only problem he had was by the time we came in from being out all day exploring, that's when they would turn the dam loose so he couldn't fish in the evening. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely come back.

Loved our stay at River's Edge. Every detail was beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

We especially loved sitting on the back deck, listening to the river, the birds and the breeze blowing the leaves of the trees. We emailed the owner concerning an overgrown tree at the end of the driveway, which blocked the view when pulling out onto the street. The problem was corrected immediately. One suggestion would be to add a sports package to The Direct TV selections.
