We are Husband and Wife and 2 teenage children that built this home ourselves with the help of our brothers. There is a lot of love and time spent making this house a home, and we are thrilled to share it with the many people, including family and friends, that have already stayed here. We know once you visit, you are sure to return.
We chose the area because of its charm and year round activities. There is not another property on the river that has such a wonderful view and the convenience of still being within 5 miles of town. The sounds of the rushing river make relaxation instantaneous. There is not a moment that we ever regret visiting the area and cannot wait to one day live here year round.
We enjoy our home here on the river because of its charm and the fact that every season holds some special memories that were made in this home. From the first Christmas we stayed and filled the home with our special holiday decorations to the first Thanksgiving turkey we cooked, our most memorable times were spent in front of the log fireplace inside and our firepit nestled between our river cabin and our friends' river cabin. Spending time with our family and friends at this cabin is always our greatest joy. Reconnecting with our out-of-town family and making more memories with our family and friends have made this home just that; a home filled with a lot of love and memories that we will cherish forever.
This house is absolutely fabulous. It's so clean and cozy. It accommodated our family perfectly. The kids walked in the creek everyday , and never once asked to watch TV. We made our own meals and ate outside on most nights. The kitchen was very well equipped. I really loved the upstairs bedroom, with the screened deck overlooking the water. It's apparent that the owners have taken a great deal of care and attention to provide a wonderful cabin. We look forward to coming back.
loved the house very clean and neat. sounds of the river I did not want to leave. only negative was we didnt get a clear answer on water level rising times and made us unsure about letting our daughter be on the water.
This home is a work of art. Everything was impeccable and high end. The Hiawassee in the backyard is enchanting and refreshing after a day of summer mountain playing. Can't wait to go back!
We had an awesome time at the cabin. It was well equipped, cozy, and we loved the sound of the river!! The area has so much to do and see! We did several day trips but loved Helen, GA. and Chatuge Lake!!
The only thing I would say is it would be good to have 2 keys. One in the lock box and one inside. If you have more than one couple staying there, it would be great to have 2 sets of keys.
Thank you for a great time!!
This cabin is wonderful and beautifully decorated!! Kitchen is very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The view and sounds of the river make it VERY relaxing. We enjoyed our time so much and will definitely be coming back!!
We loved this cabin! Beautiful, clean, well equipped, just as described! The location was convenient to JCC, Hayesville and Murphy, and basically all byways to Western Carolina. We loved the decks ( after a little light cleaning) and being right on the river! Great for relaxing, fishing and playing. The kitchen had everything we wanted, including crock pot and griddle. The beds were really comfortable for a great night sleep and if the temps were compatible, we'd leave the door to the screened in porch (off the master) open to hear the water at night. Plenty of room for everyone to be together or to catch a little alone time. Hope to stay here again!
Fire pit for outdoor gatherings right next to the river.
