Acerca de este alojamiento
3 Bed in Crickhowell (oc-r32122)
Set in the heart of picturesque Crickhowell, this delightful cottage provides a welcoming base for families and groups of friends looking to explore the Brecon Beacons. Nestled in the Usk Valley at the foot of the Black Mountains, this mid-terrace cottage has the shops, cafes and pubs of Crickhowell nearby, yet easy access to a world of outdoors adventures. Six adults have the run of this property, which benefits from open-plan living, a charming courtyard garden and has the added bonus of being dog-friendly.
Inside, this two-storey cottage has been lovingly renovated to blend original features with contemporary design and comfort. There’s ample space to store muddy boots and coats in the hallway, along with two living spaces, offering guests the ability to spread out or socialise together. Heart of the home is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area where warm, neutral tones, exposed brickwork and characterful beams create a sociable atmosphere. The kitchen is light and bright with sleek white cabinets and modern appliances, and there’s a breakfast bar to linger over morning coffee along with a dining table seating six. Unwind on the leather sofa next to the wood burner or head into the stylish second lounge, where there’s more seating along with a Smart TV. Three inviting bedrooms beckon you upstairs at the end of each day, a king-size with an en-suite, plus a double and a twin which share the family bathroom. A paved courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ invite evenings of relaxed drinking and dining beneath the stars. On-street parking is subject to availability.
Wander out from your front door to visit Crickhowell’s Georgian high street, castle and historic 18th-century bridge. It’s just over 6 miles to the market town of Abergavenny, renowned for its foodie culture and excellent independent shops. Keen walkers can head to the summit of Waun Fach (7.5 miles), the highest in the Black Mountains, while literary lovers will enjoy a day trip to Hay-on-Wye (19.5 miles).
