About this property
3 Bed in Ruswarp (oc-wa264)
Making an ideal holiday retreat for families, friends and couples, this stylishly decorated property lies in Ruswarp, a charming North Yorkshire village on the outskirts of the popular seaside resort of Whitby. Offering bright, cosy accommodation for up to six guests, the cottage occupies three storeys and features warm, colourful living areas, three delightful bedrooms and a charming courtyard garden. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, nature spotters and beach lovers, this cheerful hideaway is a fabulous base for exploring the region’s glorious coastline or for heading into the beautiful North York Moors National Park.
Entering this airy and spacious property, the colourful, bright and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes a lovely space for everyone to gather and chat about the day. The comfortable lounge has ample seating so you can snuggle up to watch a film on the Smart TV, while the central dining table is perfect for sharing family feasts which you can rustle up in the stylishly equipped kitchen. Heading upstairs, the first floor offers a soothing family bathroom and the first two bedrooms: a cheerful king-size room and a pretty twin. Further stairs lead up and into the final cosy king-size bedroom in the eaves of the house. Stepping outside, the courtyard garden features a patio with a choice of outdoor furniture, providing a relaxing space to dine alfresco as you sit back with a glass of something refreshing at the end of a great day out.
Ruswarp is a friendly village with a pub, cafe, farm park, children’s soft play centre and a newly opened riverside restaurant and bar called 'The Waterside'. There is a highly aclcaimed butcher very close selling award winning pies, deli bread cheese and bbq ready meat. Whitby (2.5 miles) has a wealth of fantastic places to eat and drink, with attractions including the beautiful beach, the Dracula Experience, Whalebone Arch, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the 199 Steps leading up to the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey. There is a lovely walk that takes you straight to Whitby harbour in around half an hour, ideal to leave the car at the cottage and explore Whitby on foot, return by train or bus.
