Nearby is Conwy, a World Heritage Site famous for its historical and architectural heritage including its magnificent 13th century castle. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs including the Honey Fair, Seed Fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October along with other musical events throughout the year. For an action-packed, adventure-fuelled holiday, there is a mountain bike centre at Betws-y-Coed, just over a half-hour drive away, plus Zip World Velocity, the longest zip wire in the northern hemisphere, less than a 20-minute drive away in Bethesda, closer still is Surf Snowdonia, just 7.5 miles away.
