Fairford’s historic centre is just under a mile away; stroll into town to uncover its heritage – it still boasts a town crier to announce the market on the first Wednesday of each month. If you’re visiting in July, the town plays host to the annual Royal International Air Tattoo, while the Fairford Steam and Vintage Show in August is always a hit. Walkers will love the wealth of nearby trails; wildlife spotters will particularly enjoy a day spent exploring The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens (9 miles).
