Wow! What a GORGEOUS House!!

  • 5 of 5

...And may I add, it is right on the beach...just steps to the sand!! The view from the home is of the Sequim Lighthouse, which by day or night, is a spectacular view. Just beyond the lighthouse is the main shipping lane of the Strait of Juan de Fuca so we were treated to cargo ships of all configurations and brightly lit cruise ships passing by.

The home is very tastefully decorated. The large open living/family room and expansive kitchen look out upon the view. The furniture is comfortable, clean and well arranged for any size group. We were a large group (family reunion), and everyone slept comfortably. We especially enjoyed the HUGE master suite with the jetted tub, big shower, double vanity and in particular the oversized bed!! It was big enough not only for my husband and me but for our little ones who joined us in the morning.

We made all of our meals at the house. The kitchen had every pot, pan, & appliance we needed plus had more than enough plates, silverware and glasses. Everything was very clean. Outside there were 2 BBQ's with plenty of propane.

The home also has a lot of games available not to mention a garage full of "toys" like ping pong and foosball. The road in front of the house is a very quiet street and perfect for bike riding (bikes were in the garage).

The owner, Martha, took a lot of time on the phone with me when I was making my reservation. She has a very happy and upbeat personality. Martha provided us with the perfect vacation rental.

THANK YOU!!

Great Location...and dog friendly!

  • 3 of 5

This home has wonderful potential and is beautifully situated on the water. The fenced yard was terrific for our dog and the light streaming through the windows on the strait was glorious. There are some discrepencies in the description of the property and there is alot of deferred maintenance that needs to occur. The master suite does not have a king size bed, rather it is two seperate full mattresses set on a VERY high platform off the floor. The two mattresses are made up separately and it is very difficult to climb up on the platform to get into bed! There are small foot stools to step on to climb in, but quite challenging! The kitchen is no longer "brand new".....it is looking worn. There is a large fireplace but it does not work and has a very odd fake electric light in it.

There was a large garbage dumpster and portable outhouse toilet by the front entry .....very odd and uninviting. Although the house was relatively clean, the windows are very dirty, broken lawn furniture is on the front and back deck and the fabric furniture is worn and dirty. With some elbow grease, paint and TLC and some money spent on refurbishing this house it would be 5 stars!

Owner's Response: We strongly disagree with you. I knew you were going to be a VERY difficult guest from the moment you called from Auburn California and made your reservation. It was not hard to recognize this from the start. There aren't discrepancies in the description of this home. If anything this home is even more spectacular than we have written in it's description. You can read the reviews from the many wonderful guests that stayed in The Incredible Sequim Beach House. I find it really interesting that you complained about our kitchen that had a BRAND NEW side by side refrigerator that literally was purchased just days before you came to visit (you were the first one to use)...so not quite what you have stated in your very false description of my home. The fireplace is wonderful. It is too bad you DIDN"T EVEN USE IT . You really should have used it to say it doesn't work. There was dry firewood in the garage and to the side of the house for you to use. Totally false what you wrote. Yes, we have lots of guests and we do have a dumpster for garbage in a parking area. Really something to complain about? We have lovely furniture and a spotless house. Quite honestly I have no idea what you are talking about in your inaccurate review . Maybe it's because of how you left the house when you departed. Quite frankly you have to look really hard for something to complain about at this beautiful place for the price we charge no less!!!

Wish it was MY house!!!!

  • 5 of 5

So quiet. So clean. Perfect visions from the living spaces of Cascade mountains, Dungeness lighthouse, wild preserve, otters, birds, shipping traffic, sunrises and sunsets! The perfect spot to stay with my loved ones. We will be back next year! Thank you Martha!

The wedding of our dreams!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home for a family reunion in 2014 and fell in love! So, when we were planning our wedding this house came to mind. This house is perfect for groups. There is room for all inside and out. We made arrangements with the owner to have a small 50 person ceremony in the yard. They spruced up the landscaping before we came so it was great shape. Our guests ate dinner on the wrap around porch and we finished the evening on the beach at sunset. Can't wait to come back again!

Spectacular

  • 5 of 5

If we were to sum up the house in one word, it would be "spectacular". The property is impressive with sweeping views of the mountains from the front porch and views of the lighthouse and Straight of Jaun Defuca. Our family of six played Frisbee on the front lawn and took full advantage of the beach access. Every morning and evening we enjoyed the hot tub and although it was April, we were able to have several meals on the outdoor dining set. The home was well furnished with a large kitchen and ample sleeping areas. The master bedroom and bathroom was enormous with two private decks and possibly the largest bed we had ever seen. We will definitely be back.
