Great location, but condo could use improvement
Pros: If you are interested in staying directly on Pike Place, this is the condo for you. The location is fantastic if you plan to walk or Uber downtown. Post Alley is literally behind the condo. The view to the water is peek a boo, but nice. We walked over to the Great Wheel and enjoyed seeing the city at sunset. We loved exploring the market one full day, and it was really fun to eat a great dinner out and walk back to the condo. It is also just a block away from the aquarium.
Cons: The condo has a washer/dryer in the closet. We packed light knowing that we could do laundry during our trip. I started a load the first night and water started pouring from underneath halfway through the cycle. It took TWO days for the maintenance man to figure out he needed to order a part. We were allowed to use the laundromat downstairs...$2 a load. The bed is really small and incredibly uncomfortable. Definitely not a queen size. This is a compact, downtown condo. The bedroom had a surprisingly large closet, but the bed takes up the entire bedroom. The arrival instructions technically tell you where to park, etc...Check in is at rush hour (and for us, it was raining as well). This is a VERY busy street at rush hour, and it was extremely stressful to find a place to park temporarily in order to run up to the room, get the parking pass and keys, park in the garage a block away, and finally take luggage from the car to the condo. After you get used to it, it is easier. But more details on exactly what to expect, where to park to unload (maybe with pictures) would make it less stressful to those unfamiliar with the area. Also, the doorknob to the condo is SO annoying. You cannot tell if you have unlocked it, and it is frustrating to play with the door handle when all you want to do is go inside.
Overall, I would say the location is perfect if you only want to be close to Pike Place. It was fun to ‘live’ so close to all of the shopping and great restaurants. However, there are improvements that could be made to make this condo a great place to relax and rest. I would recommend a hotel nearby with a water view over this condo. You might actually get enough sleep to truly enjoy your vacation.
Thank you so much for being our guests! We hope you enjoyed the central location of the Post Alley Court. We apologize that the washer needed to be repaired during your stay. As of now, this issue has been resolved. I know fortunately you were able to use the community laundry during your stay! This unit is in an older building, so it does have some property quirks, but we are always available 24/7 to help with any questions or maintenance issues. Due to the central location of this rental, city noise can be expected like in any metropolitan area. We do offer other properties outside of the downtown area that might be a better fit as they are in residential neighborhoods, so much quieter than the hustle and bustle of the city! Thank you again for being our guests and for the valuable feedback. We hope to see you return to Seattle!
Very nice for price. Broken window in living room should be replaced.
Great location. Walking distance to the fish market, many restaurants and ahopping.
We're happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Seattle! The location of the unit is great and we apologize for the window being broken during your stay. It has been fixed since then. We hope to see you back in Seattle again! Best, Sea to Sky
Everything you want for your Seattle Trip!
My wife and I stayed at the property next to Pike Place Market and it was fantastic! We were just on a quick trip from DC for a few days, and the location was perfect - easy to get to, the parking was convenient, and we were easy walking/Lyft-ing distance to everything you want to see and do in Seattle if you're just in town for a few days. We were able to get everything on the Piers, as well as the library, the Space Needle, the Pop Culture museum and a couple escape rooms :) Cannot recommend Seattle City Suites enough! - B&B
Awesome location and amazing views
We loved our stay in this apartment! The location and the views are amazing. The unit was very clean and comfortable! We will certainly reserve again for our next visit to Seattle.
Clean and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping.
Great location close to downtown Seattle and Market area. Handy washer/dryer cleans clothes from day's activities. Bonus of coffee beans and grinder. Complementary parking for residents. Otherwise parking is rare and expensive. Need good walking shoes for some steep hills and many stairs. Only complaint is one air conditioner and three fans couldn't cool adequately. Bedroom got down to a low of 79 degrees over two days.
This unit was really located in the heart of Seattle Market / downtown district. A quick walk to everywhere you want to be. down the stairs, and 1/2 block to the left was the fresh market, and museum of art was equally as close. We walked everywhere easily. Unit was great for what we needed and very comfortable.
