Your room at Lauze

At the edge of the Cévennes, in their charming 18th century mansion, Thierry and Colette welcome you for a stay of relaxation and serenity, calm and sunshine guaranteed.
In the 1 ha park, you can enjoy the shade and the freshness of the French grove, or the sun of the Mediterranean garden.
We offer you, on the ground floor, a large room of 24 m², furnished in Louis Philippe style, with a 160 cm bed, and its 11 m² bathroom, with bathtub. Mosquito nets are installed on all windows.
You have access to the TV lounge, and benefit from the Wifi network. Breakfast is served in the dining room, or in the garden in summer.
Your vehicle will easily find its place in front of the house.
Ideally located in the heart of the pastel country (Pays de Cocagne), our guesthouse will allow you to have access in less than an hour to the rich architectural and natural heritage of the Tarn department:
- Albi and its Sainte Cécile cathedral, listed as World Heritage by Unesco, the Toulouse-Lautrec museum, the Viel Alby district;
- Cordes-sur Ciel, old medieval “castrum” and its citadel…
- Castres: the Goya museum, the typical houses on the Agout ...
- Gaillac: abbey and Saint Michel church, Grifoul fountain, famous vineyards…
- The bastides and medieval villages of Lautrec, Isle-sur-Tarn, Réalmont, Puylaurens, Montdragon…
- Sorèze and its famous abbey-school,
- The Black Mountain, its lakes, its hiking trails…
- The Sidobre Massif, a tortured granite massif, a geological curiosity unique in Europe.
All guides and maps of the region are at your disposal, accompanied by advice from the hosts!
After returning from one of these good walks, you can enjoy the 15x7 m swimming pool, treated with salt and located in a secure enclosure. Bath towels can be provided.
In Castres, or in Lautrec, Lavaur, Puylaurens, Soual ... you will like to taste local cuisine, and discover local specialties, often flavored with Lautrec pink garlic, and washed down with a good Gaillac wine.

Located between Vielmur sur Agoût and Guitalens-Lalbarède, our house is:
- 15 mins from Castres,
- 20 minutes from Castres-Mazamet airport (car rental),
- 1 hour by train or car from Toulouse (the train station is 3 km from the house).
- 1 hour from Toulouse-Blagnac airport (car rental).
- 1 hour + from the City of Carcassonne.
We cannot accept pets, and we regret it.
The whole house is a non-smoking area.

From Lauze, and in less than an hour, you will have access to the rich historical and natural heritage of the Tarn:
Albi, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Gaillac, Sorèze, Castres, Lautrec, the Sidobre massif, the Montagne Noire, and Toulouse ....
Sports enthusiasts will find 3 golf courses nearby, numerous hiking trails.
So ... come "fool around" in the land of Cocagne, "snail" in the Sidobre, "gansouiller" in the mountains of Lacaune ... that's for sure, you will be HOPEFUL !!!
