The lodge sits within more than five acres of private grounds with two lakes and constantly changing countryside views. Mornings often begin with mist rising across the water, birdsong drifting through the trees and swans gliding across the lakes. In the evenings, guests can relax beside the BBQ and fire pit under dark Cotswold skies while owls call across the fields and deer quietly wander through the grounds.

Nature is part of everyday life here. Sheep and cows from neighbouring fields often come to the fence to say hello, our resident heron is regularly seen at the water’s edge, and guests may meet Wendy, our friendly chicken, who wanders the property looking for treats.

The location combines countryside peace with easy access to the best of the North Cotswolds. Daylesford Organic, Soho Farmhouse, The Wild Rabbit, The Kingham Plough, Diddly Squat Farm Shop and The Farmer’s Dog are all nearby, together with Stow-on-the-Wold, Kingham, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Chad Lakes is also an established private carp fishery, giving the property a unique atmosphere. Experienced carp anglers may be permitted to fish by prior arrangement, subject to availability and fishery rules, while non-angling guests can simply enjoy the peaceful lakeside setting and wildlife.
