Other than having a little trouble finding it ( Mostly our fault for getting there after dark) it was great!! Beautiful view, nice, quiet and very relaxing!! Will definitely be back

I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to see the water. Traveling in January may not be the best idea. It was small, but enchanting. I have to go back just to appreciate the water experience. It was dark arriving and leaving, but I’m sure I had the best view. It has inspired me to write a fiction short story. I hope it gets published. Had issues with internet, but I was there to disconnect. Very peaceful.

Great view

The cottage we stayed in was small but the view of the lake was beautiful. There was a tire on the shore and the gate was laying on the ground but didn’t affect the view from our place. Overall nice stay.

Great Location!

We needed somewhere to stay close to the Springs Event Center, and this was perfect! Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. I do kind of wish the light in the bathroom was a little brighter, and the hot water runs out FAST! So shower quickly. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Good stay overall

Great location and view. There was a light that flickered the entire time it was on and the door is broke. When it’s locked you can just push it open. Needs the latches fixed on one of the double doors so it is secure.

Weekend getaway

Husband and I went for the weekend to sit and do nothing. It was absolutely perfect for that. Luckily we got the perfect weather too. It was so peaceful and quiet to sit outside and listen to the water and read a book with absolute silence. I’m not sure it would be like this in the summertime when the lake is busy. But it sure was perfect this time. It was so tiny and adorable. Smaller than expected but perfect for 2 people.Check in was a little weird/complicated. We were given wrong door code and office was then closed so we couldn’t reach anyone. I texted and thankfully someone answered and gave us a code that worked. Otherwise - amazing.

Disappointed

We were hoping for a relaxing getaway, and looking at the description was a little deceiving. I don’t mind having ‘neighbors’ and I know complete privacy is not going to happen most of the time. However, these cabins are basically duplexes where you can hear quite a lot of what goes on next door as well as outside. We stayed two nights, in which on the second evening we found ourselves in the middle of a wedding right outside our door and all around us. We felt like we were intruding as well as trapped. Very noisy. Thankfully we had locked our door, as one of the guests tried to enter our cabin. They had a halogen light they didn’t bother turning off until 1 a.m. I am sure this is not the norm, however would probably have chosen to stay elsewhere if given the choice.

Our Sneak Getaway

The online pictures does this property absolutely no justice. Small is a understatement but the view over the lake and the sunrise and sunset made up the difference. The television could have been bigger but we could never get it to work either way. Last but not least I believe that should at least be two sets of towels per person because you never know what may happen.

Hi Sade, thanks for the feedback! Yes, the studios are small. Just one room. I wasn't aware the TV is not working. Ill have someone look at that. Great suggestion on an extra towel....just in case!

Not private at all

What they don’t tell you is there are 3 cabins connected together. We couldn’t set out on the deck and enjoy the Lake because the was another family 10 feet away on the same deck playing football and talking so loud my wife and I couldn’t even hear each other. Also there is not enough hot water in the cabin for 2 people to shower in the same hours. After my wife showered I waited 30 minutes for the water to reheat it never did I messaged the property manager about the problem have heard bake from them yet.

Hello Roy, I'm sorry your neighbors were loud. That's truly not the norm this time of year. Your cottage is described as being "duplex style". It is on a tripod. I will be more than happy to offer you a free night mid week anytime you choose. It would be in a studio though and to be honest we just cant guarantee who your neighbors will be. I can give you a discount in a free standing cottage if you'd rather? You may call me personally to book. (oh, most tiny homes of that particular size have very small hot water tanks. Sucks I know.)
