Cabaña privada de Muskoka en 5 acres con 300 pies de frente al mar

La cabaña Oaken Point se encuentra en la orilla norte del lago 3 Mile, en el corazón de Muskokas. Ubicado en cinco acres, la cabaña cuenta con una cocina de concepto abierto, sala de estar, baño, 3 dormitorios y una sala de Muskoka. Tanto la sala de estar como la sala Muskoka se abren a una terraza grande con mesa de picnic y barbacoa. Este es un lugar maravilloso para relajarse y disfrutar de un café temprano en la mañana o una comida familiar al final de un día ajetreado. Un bunkie separado puede acomodar a familiares o amigos que visitan. Con 300 pies de costa privada para disfrutar, es un refugio de bienvenida de la vida en la ciudad.

La propiedad cuenta con un césped grande y suavemente inclinado que es perfecto para que jueguen los niños. También sería el lugar ideal para desafiar a familiares y amigos a un juego amistoso de voleibol, bádminton o croquet. Al final del césped hay dos caminos de mantillo. Un camino conduce a una pequeña playa privada, mientras que el otro camino conduce al pozo de fuego y un hermoso punto rocoso con muelle.

Si desea traer su propio bote, hay espacio en el muelle. El lanzamiento del barco se encuentra en Inverness Tent and Trailer park, a 1. 5 km por la carretera por una tarifa mínima. We had a great time at this cottage! The lake was wonderful and the cottage was well supplied for our group of 7. Bedding, towels, and coffee being provided was a definite bonus.

This was my second summer at the cottage and had just as wonderful a time as last year. It’s a beautiful piece of property and the cottage itself is very cozy and inviting. Well equipped and lots of sitting area in the living room. My sister and kids loved it as well

The stay here with my family would have been a lot nicer if not the following issues. The rancid smell from the pipes made showering and cleaning dishes incredibly difficult. My granddaughter injured herself on something sharp at the bottom of the lake after jumping off the dock, when there was clearly shown pictures of others jumping off, giving the impression it was safe to do so. Aside from these issues, we did enjoy playing with various sporting equipment the host provided, as well as kayaking on the lake, and having a fire at their fire pit by the lake. We also had the pleasure of sighting a group of female deer and her babies just outside the cottage’s front door. Overall it was a nice stay, but not feeling safe to swim, and being uncomfortable showering put a damper on the entire experience. It is because of these issues that we will not be returning.

With respect to the dock, we have been operating the property for both personal and rental use for the past ten (10) years, and this is the first reported incident involving an injury resulting from someone jumping off the dock. We take the safety and well-being of our guests seriously and appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. Regarding the water, we have observed that a sulphur-like odour can become more noticeable as the summer progresses, particularly during periods of hot weather and limited rainfall. In our experience, the odour generally dissipates when the water is used regularly rather than remaining stagnant in the hot water tank. The plumbing has also been inspected, and no issues were identified at the time of inspection. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience with us. While we regret that your stay did not fully meet your expectations, we are grateful for the opportunity to hear your concerns and use your feedback to continue improving. We sincerely hope that, despite these concerns, you were able to enjoy your time at the cottage and appreciate the opportunity to host you.

Affordable, comfortable, cosy but roomy cottage

Beautiful setting, very quiet, restful cottage. Kitchen was well-equipped, lots of comfortable sofas and chairs, and the Muskoka room a nice retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (our third time).

We had two families with three kids between 6 & 9. The kids had a blast as well as the adults. Nice and clean and beautiful water for swimming and fishing.

Beautiful piece of property to be on. Bedrooms were spacious, kitchen was well equipped and living room area was very comfortable. Jeanine was wonderful to work with, receiving us at the property and showing us around. I would definitely return next year!

Great Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful time away for lots of family fun! The yard was perfect for outdoor games…lots of room on the deck for meals and the kitchen was well equipped with dishes and all cooking needs. Lots of time was spent at the lovely dock and water.

The cottage was very nice and well stocked with everything you could need. For outdoor fun there were the 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks and a canoe. Our adult children and niece and nephew throughly enjoyed using them on the lake.Jeanine our host met us at check in and took us around the property so we were familiar with it.It was a very nice week away and would do it again.

Beautiful view on the dock!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great location and cottage. We pretty much had everything we needed. The only recommendations would be that the path to get to dock should be gravel, very mucky to get to the dock. Remote for dvd player should be updated for movies. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Deck and dock.

A very nice week. Cottage is very quiet on a large property, that creates privacy. The huge deck is perfect for meals, reading, etc., and the dock gets sun all day. The kitchen is well equipped and the bbq looks new. A few more chairs on the deck and in the dock area would help. All-in-all it was very much as advertised.

Peaceful Escape

Our stay at this cottage was the perfect peaceful escape, offering a relaxing retreat in a beautiful setting. The cottage itself is cozy and well-equipped, with everything you need in the kitchen for easy meal prep. The spacious deck was a highlight, providing ample space for lounging, dining, and playing games. We especially loved the two large fire pits, with the one by the lake quickly becoming our favorite spot for evening gatherings. The dock on the water was generously sized, comfortably fitting all six of us whether we were lounging in chairs or relaxing on towels. However, the walk to the lake was a bit longer than we expected from the photos, so I’d recommend bringing a wagon if you plan to spend the day on the dock to avoid multiple trips back to the cottage. While the cottage doesn’t have air conditioning, it stayed pleasantly cool, especially at night when we opened the windows and ran the fans. Although the tap water is safe to drink, it does have a noticeable sulfur odor, so bringing your own drinking water is a good idea. One thing to note is that internet and cell service inside the cottage are nearly nonexistent, and even on the deck and dock, the signal was quite spotty. This could be a challenge if you need to work remotely. Overall, this cottage is a wonderful place to unwind. Jeanine was a fantastic host, greeting us with a warm welcome and a tour of the cottage and grounds on our first day, making us feel right at home.

Dirty windows are so old and dirty you can hardly see out of them.oven has never been cleaned, microwave was disgusting would not put food in either one. View of the lake from cottage is about 2 feet the rest is trees. Property is all downhill not small child or senior friendly. propane was turned off so no heat other than woodstove which we were not comfortable using. Overall not happy. We have rented many times through vrbo and have always been happy

End of summer getaway

Beautiful property and delightful cottage. Owners made check in a breeze and made us feel right at home. Only downside to the stay was the lake - blue/green alge had been confirmed. We rented a property on the lake so we could enjoy time in the water without having to travel. Unfortunately, this wasnt disclosed to us and, we werent able to enjoy the lake as we'd hoped. We ended up having to go to nearby towns/beaches to enjoy our time. Had we known, we would not had rented this property as the water access/use was a major factor for renting this unit The dock was beautiful and, we enjoyed the views along with lakeside fires. Kids thought the deer coming through the yard while we relaxed on the deck was amazing! They also loved having their own space in the bunkie.

Peaceful retreat

Very peaceful cottage. We enjoyed seeing all the different wildlife that ventured through the property. The cottage had everything you'd need for a peaceful stay. The owners were very upfront with the poor internet connection, this for us was perfect! Definitely wonderful to unplug from everything. By the dock the internet was strong, so if you wanted to access something online that's a great spot. Overall we had a great time! Lots of fun and many memories:)

It was a beautiful area to stay.

The cottage was nicely stocked with dishes and pots n pans. Made it easy to cook during our stay for our family. It was clean and fit our family if 7 perfectly. We enjoyed the Lady Rosseau cruise while we there in Port Carling.

Great cottage, great location

This is a clean, well-kept cottage in a great location. Nice swimming and wonderful views. Cottage is well maintained. Deck is massive. Access to the water is through a great little walk through the forest (220 steps from the cottage). Great fire pit overlooking the lake view. Top notch all around.

Really enjoyed the dock area, firepit and kayaks! Nice and quiet, no loud partiers around. For a relaxing, quiet holiday it's a great choice! And the hosts were wonderful to deal with.
