Architectural longhouse near Denmark's best beach

In this bright and airy longhouse, architecture and nature become one. With seven-meter-high ceilings in the central room and windows in all corners of the world, the house invites you to live with the landscape around you. From the terrace facing east, you can see all the way to the coast, which is just under 300 meters away, while to the west you can enjoy sunsets that paint the sky in new colors every evening.



Inside, the ground floor is clad in light plywood, while the first floor has wood paneling. The kitchen is integrated into the large living room with dining area for six and lounge area. The bedroom on the ground floor has direct access to the garden, while the first floor offers a bedroom with a French balcony and a loft with sleeping space, a work table, and a view of the garden.



The garden is kept simple with old trees and an open view of the coast. The wooden terrace facing east is perfect for morning coffee, while the hammock invites you to take an afternoon nap. The west-facing part opens up to spectacular sunsets, and the fenced outdoor shower allows you to rinse off after a day at the beach.



The beach, which has been voted Denmark's best several times, is only a short distance away – and you often have it all to yourselves. The beach is ideal for kayaking and SUP boards in calm weather and surfing/kitesurfing when the wind is right. Birkemose Beach is a paradise for anglers, where sea trout, garfish, and flatfish are caught, depending on the season.



Discover Denmark's southernmost point at Gedser Odde, hike the Køsten route along the Baltic Sea, or visit the Fuglsang Art Museum. The area is a bird sanctuary, so bring your binoculars on a trip to Bøtø Forest with wild horses and butterflies.
