You can cycle on the MTB trail, just 5 minutes from the cottage, take long walks on the plantation and down to the water, or hike on the scenic route Halsinoen to Hundested. There's also a small harbor, Lynæs surf center, and a child-friendly beach. In Liseleje, which is a cozy little summer village just 2.5 km away, you'll find a new basketball court and a good burger cafe (Haveje), as well as several lovely shops and restaurants.
