Today there are many boats that will tour the loch from Balloch including the elegant paddle steamer The Maid of The Loch. The Loch Lomond Shores shopping complex has a wide range of outlets and cafes and there is also an aquarium and Balloch Castle Country Park with its 200 acres of woodland. As well as the majestic loch, the surrounding scenery includes superb walking and cycling and Ben Lomond at 3196 feet is the most southerly of the Munros. Glasgow and Stirling are both within easy reach and provide a great day trip whether it’s to see castles, galleries or to indulge in superb shopping and dining.
