A newly finished independent loft apartment in a restored Basque country house near Hondarribia. Private entrance, parking, full stainless-steel kitchen, mezzanine bedroom, garden, pool and 11,000 m² of land, 20 km from San Sebastián and Biarritz.

Our home is a restored Basque country house in the countryside of Hondarribia, between the Basque coast, Jaizkibel and the French border. Within the property, we offer a newly finished independent loft apartment with its own private entrance and parking.

The apartment is arranged as an open living space with a complete stainless-steel kitchen, a circular dining table, a built-in sofa area, a mezzanine suite bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower. The atmosphere is calm, direct and material: wood, mineral surfaces, stainless steel, natural light and soft neutral tones.

The apartment is designed mainly for two guests, with the possibility of welcoming a baby or child on request. Guests can enjoy the garden, the new swimming pool, outdoor areas, barbecue, laundry facilities and the 11,000 m² of land surrounding the house.

The house has been restored with a strong focus on natural materials, light, comfort and landscape. Hemp-lime, wood, stone, ceramic and stainless steel are part of the wider atmosphere, creating a warm, quiet and healthy place to stay, close to the sea and surrounded by green countryside.

The location is one of the main qualities of the stay. Hondarribia centre, shops and supermarkets are 2.5 km away. San Sebastián Airport is 3 km away, San Sebastián is 20 km away and Biarritz is also 20 km away. The French Basque coast, Jaizkibel, beaches, restaurants, cycling routes and mountain walks are all very easy to reach.

Less than 1 km from the house is Laia Restaurant, ranked No. 3 in the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants 2025. The oxen linked to Laia graze within our own land, connecting the stay to the food culture, farming landscape and quiet rhythm of Hondarribia.

We live and work within the property, so the apartment is ideal for guests who appreciate design, nature, calm and respectful use of the space. Private family and working areas are not accessible to guests.

THE SPACE
The apartment is an independent loft within a restored Basque country house. It has a private entrance, its own parking space and a complete kitchen.

The main room combines kitchen, dining and living area in one open space. The kitchen is finished in stainless steel and designed for real use. A circular table anchors the room, while the built-in sofa creates a calm area for reading, resting or planning the day.

The bedroom is located on a mezzanine level, with a double bed and a quiet suite atmosphere under the roof. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a clean, functional layout.

The apartment works best for two adults. A baby or child can be considered on request.

San Sebastián and Biarritz are both around 20 km away, making the apartment a practical base for exploring both sides of the Basque coast. The French border is very close, and day trips to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Guéthary, Bayonne or the wider French Basque Country are easy.

The immediate landscape is part of the experience: green fields, trees, Jaizkibel, quiet roads and the presence of Laia Erretegia nearby, one of the most respected grill restaurants in Europe.
