Accommodations were unique and literally living in a house built into the mountains (cave). Parking down the hill and getting the luggage to the house was not easy on the cobblestone. Plenty of friendly cats in the courtyards. You have access to 2 restaurants down hill close to the church, so convenient and great food. The maintenance is a little lacking like shower head leaking and should have been replaced months ago, etc. Property host was great!

Cave house experience

3 night stay in Santorini in a centrally located cave house. Easy drive to everywhere on the island. Cool experience but not for the claustrophobic. Property was very clean, well stocked, and well maintained. Kimi was awesome to deal with!

Cavern House Helios

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Sarah and Eddy. The house is beautifully situated on a mountain near one of the best restaurants on the island, well-maintained and generally a love place to relax. Highly recommended.

Nice clean place

The location is very good and Mark the caretaker did a great job checking us in and explaining everything. 2 great restaurants 5 minutes walk away and many more 15 minutes up the hill. Very central to everything on the island. The place came well stocked with fresh fruit some beer and even wine. We would stay again for sure.

The perfect spot for escaping London

We stayed in both properties as a group of 12 adults in September last year and had the most wonderful time. Evenings spent in the courtyard cooking octopus on the barbeque, long afternoons lazing in the pool and early mornings reading up on the terrace were just perfect. The restaurant in the village is a real treat too with fantastic food and great service. We have booked again for this year and cannot wait to get back there!

Quirky Cave House

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is great , fabulous views in a great location. Very centrally situated on the island away from the hustle and bustle of the major towns. Although the house has air conditioning in the bedrooms we didn't need it as it's really cool even in the height of summer. All in all a great place to stay.

Location was good! Need a car. Close to amenities. Amazing views and enjoyed the pool! Would like to have had a microwave and an umbrella for the table outside.

Excellent stay at Helios house. Very clean and comfortable . Had every amenity that we needed. Great

We were so happy with our stay at Helios house. We liked that is was away from town and quiet. The roof top terrace with pool was our favourite spot for reading and watching the sunrise. Panos delivered us fresh bread every morning and made excellent recommendations for dinners out and a sunset boat cruise. We loved every minute of our vacation. Bravo!

Wonderful

We had an amazing time at Helios! Sarah was very quick to respond and Mark was always available to help with things like hiring a car and helping us reserve dinners and a sunset cruise! The house was nice and clean, the beds were comfy, and despite the heat outside the inside of the house stayed nice and cool especially in the evenings. We would certainly stay again!

Fantastic stay, great property and excellent location with amazing views of santorini

Great stay in Exogonia, Sarah was very helpful and the property was very clean and decor lovely. Facilities were all I could ask for. The location is great with an amazing view towards Kamari and other islands. Our teenagers enjoyed the spaces and it was very comfortable. Parking was a minutes walk from the property near the amazing church. Very close to great restaurants and well places for exploring the whole island. Would definetly come back again!

The view is just what you see in the pictures, the house was more than we expected. But most of all, the Hospitality that Panos showed us, was above and beyond. He was there and took care of every need. I would recommend staying here to everyone.

Fantastic villa with stunning views

Really enjoyed our stay at Cavern House Helios - fantastic views from the terrace. Kimberley was very helpful, collecting us from the airport and ensuring there was food and drink at the villa for our arrival. Villa was very clean and had all the amenities you need. Would highly recommend Aroma Avlis, which is a winery and restaurant at the bottom of the hill (10 euros in taxi), the food, service and wine was excellent. Overall a fantastic place which really made the holiday wonderful.

Peaceful

Gorgeous cave house in a fairly quiet area. Had a great time here unwinding and enjoyed the local taverna Metaxi Mas. Excellent service and communication before and during stay. Do hire a car as it is the best way to get around. Fairly quiet for children but the time of year may have influenced that and pool was a bit too cold for us but in the summer/warmer months it must be amazing. All in all a really nice place to visit and lovely accommodation.

Great family holiday

we had a fantastic time in this authentic santorini cavern house, everything we needed was supplied, eddy and sarah really looked after us, the kids loved having a pool (they have been nagging us to build them one ever since we got home) , highly recommended for cooling down when sunbathing on the terrace, the village is peaceful and near to all the places you would want to visit. thanks again for a great holiday. jon,magda, lucy ben and jack, melbourne, austrailia.

Perfect home base for a week

Sarah was the perfect host and was helpful from our very first interaction all the way through to our drop off at the departures hall at the airport. The house was exactly what we needed (and more) on our week away. Spacious, clean, air conditioned and everything else you might need. The house is in a good residential area, away from the crowded and noisy streets of Kamari beach, Fira or Oia so you will need a car, but the house/location is the perfect home base and you'll be glad to have your own little piece of the island to yourself.

Wonderful cave house!!

We stayed here in July and it was wonderful. Cannot thank Iro the manager enough, and thanks also to Darryl, the pool guy for his recommendations of where to eat. We ate numerous times at the local restaurant in Exo Gonia called Metaximas - eaten there before on previous holidays, and still never ceases to impress! Would def go back to this wonderful cave house, and many thanks to Sarah and Eddy, the owners for their very helpful correspondence throughout our booking etc, and also for the essentials in our cave house when we arrived - including beer and wine!!
