Thanksgiving week at Moose Creek
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabins remote location was wonderful but we were not too far away from adventure. We saw bear and deer just outside of Cades Cove. We spent time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved our trip!
We rented this property due to its proximity to a friend's house where we were holding a ladies retreat for our church that had limited accommodations. We were able to comfortably house additional women at this property. This area of Tennessee is just gorgeous in early November! Elaine's instructions were very helpful in getting to the property and adequately warned of limited parking space, printing out directions prior to arrival, and coming to the property first in the daytime. Elaine communicated to us clearly and at the right frequency, including a last-minute issue with the house lockbox.
A great get away!
We had such an amazing time in this cabin! It completed my vision for my long weekend in the mountains-a true mountain experience. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast. When you arrive, it is hard to find because the numbers on the mailbox do not match the address of the property. Turn at 1147 (I think that was the number on the mailbox) and drive up the driveway. The cabin is up the hill and you can not see it from the road. We drove a Tahoe and had a hard time turning the sharp hairpin turn going up, but coming down was fine. It would be hard to park 2 vehicles here and I would not bring a Suburban or similar size vehicle. Our cell service (AT&T) was very sketchy and we barely could even text while at the cabin. It would have been nice to have internet so we could search and plan our next day. So start your day at the Dancing Bear coffee shop and you can use their internet. I had a problem getting into the lock box and Ellen was super nice and responded IMMEDIATELY. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I will book here again next year!
Beautiful view of the mountains.
During the stay of these guests I had to call in three service people at a cost of over $400. The communication was friendly and understanding but everyday it was something else and I immediately addressed their concerns. You just can't please all the people all the time even though I try really hard. Guest stays before and after them were well pleased.
Peaceful little cabin
Let me start by saying Elaine the manager of the cabin is wonderful, she gets right back to you if you have any concerns. The cabin is small but adequate for four people, if you're looking for a peaceful place this is definitely it, if you're looking for a cabin that has a lot of entertainment this one is not at it. The cabin is wonderfully located to get to the Smoky mountains national Park,Gatlinburg or pigeon forge and lots of trails and waterfalls. Thank you for letting us use your peaceful little cabin in the woods. The Kralik's
Townsend is called "The Peaceful Side of the Smokies" and this is why. Guests who want the activities of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to stay there or drive in 30 min from Townsend. The Kralik's sweet guests!
Happy vacation in a very secluded cabin
Excellent communication and help from Elaine. The cabin is very secluded and should be accessed during daytime hours. Great view, facilities and little to no mosquitoes!! The drive way is tricky with a full size pick up truck but is capable of maneuvering and parking with some skill. Do not attempt to bring a truck with trailer up the hill- very narrow and steep with a 90 degree corner. Any motorcycle/ ATV trailers can be left at the Big meadow camp ground about 15 minutes away for a per day fee. Malcolm was very helpful and provided excellent service and a secured trailer storage site. Call and reserve prior to arrival.
Great motorcycle riding in all directions. The driveway is gravel half way up and then turns to concrete and we got one flat tire so beware if you are motor cycling.
Thanks for an excellent vacation in the smokey mountains. Mike , Monica and company.
