Located between the market towns of Penrith and Keswick, both within 10 miles, there are plenty of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants near this cottage. Set within the Lake District National Park, the beautiful Ullswater is only 6 miles away where you can enjoy paddleboarding or take a trip on a steamer. For keen hikers and hillwalkers tackling Helvellyn, one of the highest mountains in the Lake District is a must, and the pretty woodland and tumbling waterfalls at Aira Force (4.5 miles) are just stunning. For some retail therapy, head to either Penrith or Keswick, both within 10 miles and both offering independent retailers, pubs, cafes, and restaurants.
As soon as you arrive at this magnificent property you will be in awe. The owners have brought this property back to life and created a luxurious masterpiece. Heading into the house we have the cosy lounge area with seating, a wood burner, and Smart TV, perfect for an evening’s relaxation. Additionally, there is a lovely mezzanine level where you can kick back and enjoy a good book. The kitchen/diner offers space to enjoy a family meal and discuss the day's adventures. The kitchen is a cook's dream and is created to a high standard. There is an island, and plenty of worktop space for all the family to get involved in making a feast. The utility room offers even more space with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and also bike storage. Heading along the corridor we have the master bedroom which has a Super king-size with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC plus amazing views over the fields. The last two bedrooms are doubles with additional single beds in each and then we have the main bathroom with shower over bath and WC and separate WC.
The garden boasts plenty of space for your four-legged friends to enjoy while you chill on the outdoor furniture and enjoy a glass of wine. There is also a garage suitable to store motorbikes, bikes, paddleboards or any adventure equipment you choose to bring with you.
