A beautiful recently renovated property with attention to detail throughout, set on a hill top location boasting wonderful countryside views and within easy reach of the pretty hamlet of Painscastle. Within a few minutes’ drive from the excellent village pub and for the more energetic why not try tackling the Begwyns, 580 acres of National Trust hills and rolling landscape with breath-taking views across The Brecon Beacon National Park. The Beacons and River Wye have a number of activity providers, offering canoe hire, high rope courses and gorge walking. Hay-on-Wye, just a short drive away, is renowned for its International Book Festival, with plenty of second-hand bookshops, an art house cinema and independent shops, as well as The Globe at Hay. Bryngwyn Riding Centre, a short drive and the Royal Welsh Showground slightly further afield.
As you enter this wonderful property you will find yourself in the truly remarkable kitchen/diner. This beautiful space has been completed to an impeccable standard whilst retaining a wealth of character. This property has full length bi-fold glass doors, which really lets you appreciate the wonderful views. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and gas hob, fridge,freezer, dishwasher and microwave with a handy utility room just off the kitchen which is home to the washing machine and a handy ground floor shower room and WC. The kitchen has a large island to enjoy a pot of tea in the morning whilst enjoying the views. There is also a formal dining area which is the perfect space to enjoy a home cooked meal together whilst reflecting on the day’s events. Just off the kitchen/diner you will find the lounge area this room is the perfect space to relax and unwind with exposed beams, comfy sofas and large fireplace which is home to the warming wood burner, this really is a relaxing, cosy space to curl up with a good book. Heading up the formal staircase, you will enter the spacious landing area, this unique space with large feature window and attention to detail throughout is home to the sleeping quarters. The first bedroom you will find is the spacious super-king-size bedroom with views over the front of the property. Located next door is the twin bedroom followed by the further two super-king-size bedrooms all these rooms boast from views of the rolling countryside. To complete the sleeping quarters is the master super king-size bedroom, this room is extremely light and airy and has an added en-suite shower room and WC, the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring. The final room you will find on the first floor is the family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.
Heading outside you will enjoy your own enclosed garden and patio area with garden furniture to enjoy alfresco dining in the warmer months plus the added luxury of your own private hot tub, powered by an Air Sourced Heat Pump, where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. There is off road parking for three cars.
