A charming two storied traditional Cape, newly built for the summer of 2013. Nestling just off the Brewster Flats of Cape Cod Bay, this lovely cottage has been built and furnished by interior designer Pamela Lloyd Baker .
Phoebe's cottage is comprised of a first floor that flows from an airy entry way with an open staircase that allows one to look from the glass front door across the living room to the rear garden.
The dining area is at the end of the living room and adjacent to the side deck. Both look out over a private pond (non-swimming).
The living room is complimented by three sets of French doors that open to a mahogany walkway overlooking the rear garden and leading to the side deck.
A gas fireplace welcomes fall and winter guests.
A charming kitchen, bathroom and mudroom/laundry complete the first floor while upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms, a full bathroom and a cozy nook for extra sleeping or relaxing. Plenty of books and games, cable TV and CD player.
Phoebe's Cottage is full of light, with walnut wood floors, whitewashed walls, stylish area rugs and furniture and lovely artwork.
The Kitchen comprises of all new glide out cabinetry, fridge and dishwasher. convection wall oven and microwave. electric hot plates, griddle, crock pot, toaster oven and electric frying pan. We are not able to have a standard floor model stove as the town records the cottage as a 'guest cottage'
The BBQ is usually the first choice for summer cooking.
The beach is just a few steps away down our leafy drive.
Historic Old King's Highway is a mile away with galleries, antique shops and restaurants.
Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach toys for children are ready for your enjoyment and all linen and towels are provided.
Due to sand that finds its way back to the beach, would you join us in bringing indoor shoes so that outdoor footwear can be left at the door. We thank you and warmly welcome you to Phoebe's Cottage.

Part of my relationship with my property is that I provide free vacations to wounded Veteran's and their families in the Spring and early Summer.

It is rare to find large parcels of land on Cape Cod any more.
Phoebe's Cottage is part of an 8 acre parcel and sits up a private drive. The cottage is nestled in a quiet corner and surrounded by natural vegetation. Guests are able to take a short walk down the drive to find themselves on the beach of Cape Cod Bay, while being able to wander back to the cottage for lunch, or a book or to grab a beach chair. There is easy access to amenities, shops and galleries , a farmer's market and the local library. The neighbor hood is made up of traditional Cape homes and the village of Brewster reminds us of bygone days with gracious sea captains homes lining leafy Route 6A. Phoebe's Cottage sits in 'the crook of the arm' that makes up the shoreline of Cape Bay and being in the center of the Cape, means that one can drive down Cape to Provincetown or up Cape to Sandwich and the Bridges.
Evenings invite guests to BBQ on the rear deck that looks out over conservation land and our own private pond.
Set in historic Brewster, adjacent to the beach, close to amenities, galleries, restaurants, trails and shopping.......and the most amazing sunsets that fall over the bay in the evenings.
One of the loveliest villages on the Cape.
Happy to say; visiting Cape Cod and being able to find and enjoy this location was memorable. Secluded, surrounded by vegetation and quite. It was perfect for the solace that I was seeking. Long walks on that beautiful beach at the end of the drive; the private pond on the property and a deer early one morning......Could not have got any better. Thanks to my hostess for a wonderful cottage. BV Kansas
We loved our stay at Phoebe's Cottage. It is private and secluded yet so close to one of our favorite beaches in Cape Cod. The house is spacious and well appointed. We made lovely memories with our young son here picking blackberries, playing with all the sand toys, and enjoying walks.
Although it is not the owner's fault (zoning), the lack of outdoor shower and full oven are the reasons for the 4 star review. Otherwise, it is a perfect vacation cottage.
My husband and I recently stayed at this home with out three year old daughter. The location, steps from the beach could not have been more convenient for us. The house had every appointment that we could imagine and was the most wonderful location for a fantastic family vacation. Our daughter is now referring to Pheobes Cottege as her "summer house" and we look forward to many more visits in the future. Book this house, you will not be dissapointed!
This was the perfect little cottage nestled among the trees near the edge of the shore....we certainly enjoyed every minute of our stay here! Thank you Pamela for the best visit we've had on the cape in years! Your attention to detail is perfection and the beautiful little pond was a sweet hidden gem. It is a very special place.. Thank you for sharing it with us!
As the Rental agent who has rented this property for a few years, I feel it necessary to make a comment in light of a negative and false review.
I just feel the couple who rented the house last year and were so unhappy didn't leave early nor without having more people in the home than was the maximum occupancy not until they managed to make the biggest mess of a property.
The owner of this property is most accommodating and meticulous about every detail and the property is well maintained and ultra clean.
This winter I spent 3 months at the fabulous bay view "cottage" near Robbins Hill beach. The home is beautifully appointed with beachy and nautical inspirations and looks even better in person than the photos! The Owner was very approachable and genuinely helpful in all ways concerning my stay. Upon arrival the house was immaculate and welcoming. Best of all was the location in Brewster, just up the lane from a magnificent beach and tucked away from the hubbub of Route 6A. Privacy and elegance abounded and I would be happy to return again for another visit.
Enjoy the natural history of Cape Cod without ever leaving your rental property or take advantage of the independent or guided nature walks at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. Nickerson State Park is also a wonderful area for hiking as well as for swimming in its tranquil freshwater ponds. For bicyclists, roller bladers and walkers there is the Cape Cod Rail Trail which runs from the town of Dennis through Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet through woods, past cranberry bogs and ponds and lakes. Brewster has many bayside beaches where you can swim, sail, kayak, windsurf or simply relax in the sun. Nearby harbors provide fishing trips, whale watches, harbor and river cruises, sunset and dinner cruises. Brewster's Captains Course is a 36 hole golf course and nearby Orleans has miniature golf for the less serious golfer. Across the street from Captains Course are the Brewster playing fields with baseball diamonds and soccer fields.
