Spacious, clean, and well-appointed

Peter’s house was wonderful in every way. An easy walk from the ferry, especially with the wagon waiting for us at the dock. The house was absolutely perfect for our group - so spacious, the living room fit everyone comfortably, both the indoor and outdoor tables seated everyone and the 3 bedrooms were perfectly sized for a big group of adults. Everything was clean, organized, and well appointed for anything you need to cook, grill and have a great stay. The back deck was such a perfect space to hang out. All rooms had a/c that worked very well. The many beach chairs and umbrella were such a wonderful addition and all were in great shape. Couldn’t have asked for a better property on FI and we can’t wait to return. Thanks Peter for such a perfect stay!

Awesome vacation!!

Arrived on Sunday to a cool, comfortable, clean, beachy house. Perfect location, minutes from the ferry, market, restaurants, and beach. A short bike ride or walk to Ocean Beach for more restaurants, shopping and fun. A great place to unplug and reconnect with my adult children. thank you!!

Great beach house.

Owner is incredibly responsive. All answers within 20 minutes. Has everything you need and all in neat and convenient placement. Highly recommend this house!!

AmaZing!!!

This house is amazing. It’s very clean. It is in a perfect location. We had a blast. The owner, Peter, is great and he was very helpful and he was always available to answer my questions...I would totally stay there again!

Can't wait to come back!

I stayed at this house from June 12-16 with 8 of my friends for my birthday and WOW. The house is only 2 blocks from the ferry (which was perfect since we obviously had alot of stuff) and the property provides a wagon large enough to transport everything. Upon arrival, we were all pleasantly surprised that the house was even better in person. Everyone quickly got settled and ran out to the beach (maybe 10 houses down the street) and onto the beautiful wrap around deck. The house provided everything and more and the beach chairs and bikes were an added bonus. At night we often took the 10-15 minute walk to Ocean Beach to go to Sandbar or other bars over there. The only thing I would recommend is to walk with a group at night if going to Ocean beach considering the walkways are pitch black. The house was maybe 2 blocks from Flynns which we enjoyed for 'Sunday Funday' and everyone was extremely pleased. My friends all can't wait to plan another trip next year!

Excellent Summer Rental in a Great Location

I rented this house for a four-day weekend in June 2010 with 5 friends (ages 25-30) who were visiting from out of town. We were a little hesitant to rent a house sight unseen, but Peter (the owner) was extremely accomodating and made our stay that much better. The house was exactly as described on the website (location, pictures, layout, amenities, etc.) and we all had a really really great time. When we first arrived, the house was perfectly clean and very well-maintained. Peter truly went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He responded to our questions within an hour, maybe even less, and there was a lot of information posted around the house to help us get where we needed to go and even some helpful hints. Some of our favorite amenities were the large grill on the deck with lounge chairs (we bbq'd all weekend) and the large kitchen (which helped when bbq'ing). Everything that you think you might need (laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.) was provided. For family visits, the house is stocked with DVDs, books, video games and satellite TV. It also has plenty of beach chairs for the beach, which right down the block, and there is a pool at the hotel around the corner which is open to the public. The location in Ocean Bay Park was ideal. We spent time relaxing on the deck or at the beach during the day and at night, we would take a short 15 minute walk or quick bike ride to Ocean Beach to visit some restaurants and bars. The ferry dock for OBP is almost right in front of the house so no need to worry about walking a long distance with lots of luggage. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Fire Island. It's great for both families and young groups as well as couples looking for a romantic getaway. Peter was extremely reliable and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. We hope to rent from him again soon.

Bright house close to everything

I spent a week in this house this summer. The owners were wonderful and responsive and nice. The house was clean and well-maintained, big and airy and close to everything. They had everything we needed from beach chairs to bikes to a great grill on the deck. I plan on going back.
