Palms resort

Great location! Easy walk to the beach and surrounding stores. Pool was 10/10 the kids had a great time! Best resort pool for kids.

Everything broken or not working, outdated.

The WIFI does not work, had to use property WIFI, which was spotty, sliding door to patio broken with a sign saying "do not use". The other door to patio would not close all the way and seemed off track , patio furniture unusable, lights in guest bedroom and guest bathroom not working (flicker non stop). Got there Monday, reached out to host on Tuesday about problems, it is now Saturday and have still not heard back from host, never responded. Resort was great, condo was bad, would never book again.

Great trip!

We loved our time at the Palms of Destin! This unit was exactly as described. I enjoyed the balcony in the mornings. The walk to the beach was short and the pool was great too! Definitely would stay here again.

Do not book this unit

The Palms property has a very nice pool layout and area. The restraunt food is good and the bar staff are amazing! The unit was the only disappointing part of our stay. The unit needs a DEEP CLEANING, furniture upgrade or at least cleaned, storm doors replaced, carpet and throw rug replaced and or cleaned. Dining chairs replaced and or cleaned, drapes and black out panel replaced. The furniture is VERY OLD, the decor doesn't match, there wasn't any coffee, sugar, cream, or basic necessities in the unit. There was 2 rolls of the cheapest toilet paper and one roll of the cheapest paper towels! No ceiling fans in any of the rooms. There was 1 standing fan that was so dirty the air couldn't flow! The storm doors couldn't open so we couldn't access the patio, when we got one opened, yhe handle broke off as it was already loose from others probably attempting to open the door as well. We had to call maintenanceto close it and he replaced the handle! He informed us not to use the doors and that the rollers collapsed and need to be replaced. The patio furniture is old and raggedy so if we could have gotten out we still would not have been able to relax on the patio! Basically, we did not get to use the patio at all!

We all took a family trip and had a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. They had an onsite coffee house, spa, good vibes bar, playground, fitness center, tennis court, basketball, heated pool, hot tub and a beach shuttle. Everything was close by. There was a Walmart just a few minutes away and plenty of eating places to choose from ( Joe's Crab Shack, Bubba Gumps, The Backporch just to name a few) Henderson State Park was also just a minute away and we loved it. You do have to pay but it was only $6.00 for the day (4 of us on an suv), depending on what you drive and how many people the price would vary. I would definitely recommend staying here and are looking forward to our next stay here.

Great time!

Room on the 7th floor. Balcony had a view of the water in the distance. Could not see the beach. Didn't mind at all. Lights are beautiful at night. Spent time in the heated pool and in the hot tub. Both are in the pool area. Dining close by. Walmart close by. Surf shops close by. Harborwalk close by. To go to the beach we drove out of the property and across the highway to a parking lot at the beach. Took 2 minutes. Room was nice and it was clean. Will do this again soon.

A bad experience

I will never stay here again. The place was dirty and mattress was soiled. We didn’t have linen for the pullout. Therefore, the 1st night my son had to sleep with us. The furniture on the balcony was all broken, with the exception of 2 chairs. The tub in the master bedroom constantly leaked water on the floor and soiled towels were left in the small closet by the refrigerator. This was a bad experience. We expected better!

Tough call during tough times

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a little hard to review since we were there at the start of the pandemic. We held up in our condo half the time we were there (10 days out of 20). The resort location itself was great but if you are in the West tower on the West side there are things to consider. Beautiful sunsets but very noisy inside and out. Constant take offs and landings from the executive airport less than a mile away. Dumpster "rustling" starting at 5 am almost every day. City Hall across the street and the noise from blowers, parking lot vacs and maintenance machines was also too much on a daily basis.Great pool areas and fitness room with an accommodating staff. Beaches are within walking distance along with restaurants, shopping and amusements.

Great Location....but

I was very pleased with how centrally located the building was and the restaurant that was connected to the building had delicious food. The bathrooms in this unit were very clean and the shower had great water pressure. The main issues we encountered were the foul smell when first opened the door along with multiple stains in the carpets. It definitely needs a good cleaning or to be replaced. The dryer didn't work and I did not find that out until I had a washing machine full of wet towels which was a huge inconvenience. The handle to go to the balcony area came off while trying to open the door. I sent an email about the door handle and the dryer and maintenance came the following day and fixed the door but could not fix the dryer. We never received a solution for this issue. This would not have been a big deal if we weren't there for a beach vacation but having to hang dry towels and swimwear was definitely not ideal. This place has the potential to be great but it needs some TLC.

Do NOT Book!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I recently stayed at this property in Destin, Florida, and it was a absolute disappointing experience. There was no cleanliness at all, with visible stains and dust throughout the property. The furniture was outdated and worn out, and the TVs in our rooms didn’t work. To make matters worse, the A/C broke down after just three nights, leaving us sweltering. Additionally, we noticed that the resort had visible sprays for bed bugs and other pests, which was both unsettling and unprofessional. I would strongly advise against booking this place — it's not worth the hassle or discomfort. A lot more to say but I will leave it at that, I wish they allowed for photos to be posted since I have prof of what we came into.

Multiple things broken. No hot water

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were a lot of broken things in this condo. The handle for the balcony was broken off going from the living room area to outside so the only way onto the balcony was through the bedroom. The toaster had a broken piece inside that about caught on fire and microwave was broken but still worked. There was not many pots/pans, we had to buy a bigger pan actually to cook food in because the one there was way too small. We did not have hot water the last 3 out of 5 days we stayed. I contacted the property manager who said they would send a plumber to check the water heater but no one ever came.

Good Place to Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Conveniently located in the heart of Destin. Room was spacious and contained all the necessities to include washer & dryer, pull out couch and small kitchen appliances. The pool & bar was a hit so we spent a lot of time there. Coffee bar & restaurant was a hit as well. However all the TVs were outdated and did not connect to the cable so we had no channels.

I love this resort and the pool, the only thing I didnt like about my room is the master bedroom never gets cold, but our stay in another room at this resort was the same way.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the centralized location; however, the quality of the furnishings in the condo were dissatisfactory. The King bed was uncomfortable and tilted to the side. The TV in the extra room was old and wasn't working. The dryer had a screw stripped which made clothes get very tangled with each dryer load, causing us to use a friends dryer down the hallway instead as it ruined a few shirts. Lastly, there was a huge stain on the carpet upon entry. The area was nice and most things were very close by, but I wouldn't stay at this specific condo upon revisiting.

Loved the condo!

This resort is fantastic! The pool was amazing for our kiddos, the on site restaurant and bar were a great bonus, and the condo was very clean and inviting. It was just a short distance to the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Bedding was uncomfortable 😕 but we otherwise loved everything about this place!
