This cabin was even more beautiful in person than it was in the pictures! The view of the mountains was breathtaking and the host was wonderful! She responded quickly and helped me anytime I needed her. The cabin was clean, fully stocked and perfectly located. It is far enough away from the city to enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to run out for dinner if you don't want to eat in. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone taking a trip to Montana! You won't regret it!

The cabin is quiet and has an excellent view of the Bridgers. I appreciated the full kitchen and streaming services for watching movies after a long day. Wendy is responsive.A few things to consider: The mattress is quite worn out, and my husband and I (135 and 165 lbs) sank right down into it. Wendy kindly let us borrow a mattress topper from her basement, which helped, but the bed still wasn't comfortable. There is no microwave, despite one being shown in the listing. Wendy said she didn't plan to replace it with summer ending. I think this would be an inexpensive investment for the rental.Bring your own hand soap, body wash, and shampoo, unless you're comfortable using diluted castile soap for everything. The washer only runs on hot water because sand has been plugging the well lines. Most importantly, I was uncomfortable with how our dogs were handled. I disclosed both dogs before booking, including that Chance is an American Staffordshire. After lending us the topper, Wendy seemed surprised we had two dogs. She then called to ask if Chance was a pit bull and described past issues with off-leash pit bulls. Our dogs are always leashed, and Chance is very sweet. I understand concerns based on past experiences, but I had already been upfront about our dogs. The call left me stressed for the rest of the day, worrying we might be asked to leave. Guests traveling with dogs, especially bully breeds, may want to confirm that their dogs are fully accepted before booking.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry that you were not comfortable in the bed in the cabin. We have received many reviews in the past that have told us how comfortable that bed is. When I checked your listing, you only listed 1 dog and I do have a dog fee. My dog fee is $10 per dog per night. As you only paid for 1 dog, I was surprised that you arrived with 2. We have had a cat killed and a dog maimed for life because of a pit bull breed. That is why I always ask my guests before they book what kind of dog(s) that they are bringing. From a distance, your American Staffordshire looked like a pit bull cross. I waived the remaining $50 that you owed me for the second dog because of the lack of a microwave and your back issues. My shampoo and conditioner are organic and the body wash that I supplied you when you informed me that the cabin's had run out was Dr Bronners, which is a concentrate and needs to be diluted. Mixing it in a reusable plastic bottle saves on plastic in the landfill. I have never asked a guest to leave for any reason and I am sorry that you spent that day with anxiety. My goal is to be as realistically accommodating as possible.

I moved to Bozeman in 1979 and immediately felt like I had “come home”. My husband and I raised our 2 daughters in Bozeman in 2 different locations. We bought this property in 2001 and in 2014 we built the cabin. My husband and I lived in it for 3 years before we moved into a larger house that we built 250 feet south of the cabin. My husband is a builder so the cabin has many extraordinary features.

Why they chose this property

If you enjoy sitting on a porch in a rocking chair, listening to the birds and staring at the ever changing mountain landscape in a quiet country atmosphere, then this is the place for you.

What makes this property unique

Close to the airport and Costco, Target, etc. Fifteen minutes from Bozeman City Limits. Plenty of parking. Great year round hiking. Quiet and peaceful
