This beautiful sanctuary is a short 5-minute, 2-mile drive to downtown Breckenridge, where you'll have access to shopping, restaurants, and summer activities. Experience the best of peace and quiet in the mountains with a perfect location to venture out to town!
This rustic chalet is a dream, and we're thrilled to share it with you. It is a perfect getaway for families, couples, or groups of friends who want to experience a Breckenridge vacation without all the crowds. Less than a 5-minute drive to town and the gondola but also tucked away in a nice and secluded neighborhood. The cabin sleeps up to 8 people comfortably in 3 bedrooms.
Features a comfortable open-layout on the main floor, 3rd floor master bedroom with balcony and bunk room (please note there is no bathroom on the top floor), and a bedroom with attached bath in the walkout first floor/basement. Additionally features a pull-out sofa bed in the first floor living room and large sectional couch in the main floor living room. Please be aware this is an older cabin (built in the 70s) & on a well system so water flow may not be what you'd expect from a hotel. Some of the finishes are a bit dated but it does have a beautiful newly renovated kitchen, new windows, roof & deck as well as wood-burning fireplace on the main floor & wood-burning stove in the first level living room. Because of the age of the cabin & the unique layout, we would not recommend this cabin for elderly guests.
The hot-tub on the back deck (south-facing) has a beautiful view of Mt Argentine (13,743ft). There is also a propane grill, heat lamp and Adirondack-style chairs for comfortable seating. The backyard off the deck has a fire-pit & beautiful wildflower meadow in the summer. The serenity of the location & proximity to town make this cabin a perfect balance of quiet and convenient. We love the cabin's sunny back porch for grilling, private hot tub, and the gorgeous meadow with picnic table, fire pit and horseshoes. Don't forget the nearby bike trails, amazing fishing at the goose pasture tarn and hiking the Mohawk Lakes Trail (only 1.5 miles away). We have worked hard to make the cabin a true sanctuary home in this mountains. This means that on arrival, you will find cozy beds with down comforters, board games and books, and a well-equipped kitchen ready to cook a meal for all your guests.
Please note that the house is on three levels with many stairs; this may be a challenge for those with limited mobility. Bathrooms are located on the main level (next to the kitchen) and in the walk-out first floor (attached to the bedroom). There is no bathroom on the top floor (upstairs from the main floor).
The entire home is yours! Check out is at 10AM. This is a quiet family retreat. If you are planning to party or wanting to host a large rowdy/loud group, please look elsewhere.
